Just hung up the phone with Joe Perry. Insanely honored that Joe has asked me to host a Q&A for his book launch signing event 10/7 at Barnes & Noble Union Square in NYC. It will start at 7PM with more details to come. So surreal for me when the guys I grew up with having posters of on my wall ask me to be a part of major events in their career. Have some other cool stuff in the works around this event. More when I can post!
Thoughts to all those who lost loved ones on this tragic day in our history 13 years ago and thanks to all who have worked and continue to work to keep us safe. I was in Las Vegas scheduled to fly home on 9/11 and was stuck there eight extra days before I could get back. Thankful I didn’t lose anyone on that day but so many were not so lucky. Never forget 9/11 and thank you to all who work to make sure it doesn’t happen again in this crazy world we live in.

Listening to the Ace Frehley podcast as I type this. Ace doesn’t hesitate to bash Tommy Thayer for wearing his makeup/costume and playing his solos on stage. However Eddie just asked Ace what he thought of Eric Singer wearing Peter Criss’ makeup/costume and playing his solos on stage WHILE ACE WAS STILL IN KISS. Ace never answered the question directly, and instead danced all around it. He refused to face the hypocrisy! And because Eddie is such a good friend to Ace, he didn’t press him further on the question either. Another hypocrisy?

Maybe Ace wanted to leave the door open for him to one day rejoin KISS with Eric on drums, if that ever happens I hope he will demand that Eric be given his own character.
Just showed what a hypocrite Ace is. How can it be wrong for TT to wear his makeup and not wrong for ES to wear PC’s make up ? A good non biased person would have followed up on that .
He’s probably friends with Eric and maybe doesn’t want to stir things up. It’s perfectly understandable that Ace would be more annoyed by the person pretending to be him than the person pretending to be someone else.
I listened to the podcasts with Ace Frehley and Michael Anthony and loved hearing all of their stories. Both seem like cool guys to hang out with. I’m glad each one is happy where they are today.

C’mon, Medved. Ace Frehley is just expressing his opinion of Tommy Thayer wearing his makeup and costumes onstage; I get the impression from a number of Ace interviews that he believes that KISS should have come up with a new character for Tommy, yet Ace is not going to lose any sleep over it. I agree with Ace. The Space Man IS Ace’s character and he created it; we all know that. Ace knows that everybody knows that. If Ace wouldn’t answer the question about Eric Singer wearing Peter Criss’ makeup, it’s because that “issue” or “situation” doesn’t involve Ace; that’s between Tommy, Peter, Eric, Paul, and Gene. I give Ace credit for having the maturity not to opine about something that doesn’t involve him, and to just concentrate on his own music, his own new album, “Space Invader.”
Like Singer said, neither one of them(Ace/Peter) had any problem touring with TT/ES in an Original members SOLD make up when they were still getting KISS money .NO use concentrating on SI now, week 3 , it’s down to 117, as Ace said in this interviews, the guarantee won’t be there, so we won’t see a tour.
