Best of luck to my friend Doug Aldrich who has just announced his departure from Whitesnake. I’ve been in touch with both he and David Coverdale and the split is amicable. Doug will explore new opportunities and DC will search for the next in a long line of great players in his history. More soon I’m sure.
If in the Detroit area come hang tomorrow night with me, Don & Jim for our live show at The Token Lounge. Info on th home page under appearances. I will have both books for sale as well as T Shirts and other merch at the gig. See you soon Detroit area!

Eddie’s in Detroit rock city! damn eddie you travel more than I do! do you ever get a vacation? well, if you love what you do & I know you do, it’s a “permanent vacation”! party on Ed!
Doug is a MONSTER player. Has one of the greatest guitar tones in the world. Best of luck to him.
Speaking of Winger, their new album is really good.
I love Steve Vai, but I can’t see him returning to Whitesnake.
Vai is brilliant, never thought he was a fit in Whitesnake though
DC should bring back the Old Whitesnake [I think only two members are dead] and do a Real Blues Tour!
I saw them with Vai and Vandenburg in the early 90’s and it was a Great show; but I really missed the Older Blues Songs! I wish I could see Sykes; he’s a great song writer and player!
I don’t know if DC would have had the same success with out Sykes; I mean just listen to Blue Murder’s First CD and you can see how much Sykes influenced DC’s Blues to Rock metamorphous!
Plus Tommy Aldridge is a Killer on Drums!! and he has been since his old Black Oak Arkansas Days!
