5/22: VAN HALEN TOP 20 TOMORROW, TRUNKFEST COMING TO AXS 7/1, ROCKLAHOMA, STRYPER, THE CULT MEET & GREET

Well here we are with Rocklahoma weekend upon us. I'[ve hosted this festival every year, and great to be headed back for year 11. Rocklahoma is unique in that it’s the only festival that includes 80’s acts with more current bands and mixes them all. Very cool! I’ll see you out there if attending. I’ll also be sticking around to host Stryper 5/30 at IDL Ballroom in Tulsa. Hope you can join me. Also just announced I’ll be doing a meet and greet with The Cult this Thursday 5/24 inside the Tulsa Hard Rock Casino at Riffs FREE 8-9P. Come say hi to me and The Cult guys!

My Van Halen Top 20 show debuts tomorrow 2-4P ET & replays 9-11P ET and On Demand on SiriusXM app. Listen on Volume channel 106 to my top 20, then call in Thursday and Friday 2PET with your Top 20’s! Should be a fun one! Then all 3 of my Trunk Top 20’s replay for the holiday weekend on Volume (Kiss, Aerosmith, VH).

Really psyched that some teasers are now out for my new TV show on AXS TrunkFest. Debuts 7/1 9:30P ET! First episode is Sturgis. Just watched an advance and it came out great!

I’m going to be traveling for the next week or so and will update here when I can, but follow on Twitter @EddieTrunk for up to the minute updates!

Eddie, I hope you get the chance to see Ghost perform. Hopefully they put on their full show production, considering they are not headlining their evening (which they probably should, IMO).

Jump back, what’s that sound? PANAMA! 😉 My favorite song, and video (along with Ratt’s “Round And Round”) from the summer of ’84! Ahh the good old days! 🙂

Have a good, and safe Memorial Day weekend! And never forget our Vets! Cheers!! 🙂

      Doug R.,

You have some really smart friends, and you’re really handy, can you invent a time machine…PLEASE? LOL!

I’m working on it, Dana, unless of course Ace beats me to it first! 😉 LOL!!!

Catching up on Volume Trunk Nation shows On Demand. Listening to Eddie rant on and on and on about Ghost is about as stale as his “feud” with KISS. What’s a matter Eddie? Tobias hasn’t KISSed your ring yet?

Van Halen was pretty abstract with Roth; hard to make song list there. I like Sammy on his own but he changed Van Halen too much for my liking as they made such a huge impact on me when they first came out; the first band I had to admit was as good as Kiss, it was just undeniable. So, here’s a list of the best Van Halen songs; no Sammy (he’s great as a solo artist).

    1. Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love
2.. …and the Cradle Will Rock (Ed is out of his mind for not including this one.)
    3. Jamie’s Cryin’ (Have to think Eddie was influenced by “Christine Sixteen,” which he helped Gene with previously.)
    4. Somebody Get Me a Doctor
    5. Jump
    6. I’ll Wait (Dave absolutely makes this song work its magic)
    7. Hear About It Later
