Exclusive new late tonight. Ace Frehley called into my radio show live tonight and confirmed that he and Peter are being denied the opportunity to perform at the R&R Hall Of Fame ceremony by Gene and Paul, who will perform instead with the current band. Ace said (and the HOF confirmed to me directly) that the HOF wants the original band. However Gene and Paul to date have declined to allow this to happen. Ace said it was important he let the fans know exactly what was happening since tickets are about to go on sale to the public and he didn’t want fans to purchase them expecting a reunion performance even for a song or two. Ace said he is undecided if he will even attend in light of this decision. Even though the HOF would prefer the original band, they will not stand in the way of the current band playing if that is all Gene and Paul are willing to do. Assume anything is possible that something could change, but at this time there are no plans at all for Ace and Peter to play, or perhaps even be there depending what they decide. As I have said consistently when there was news to share I would let it come directly from a member, and tonight Ace let everyone know exactly what was going on. Said he was most upset for the fans who voted them in and were hoping to see a song or two, but also said it is now time to move on. He is working on a new album and said the stress was really killing him about the HOF and he needed to let fans know what was up before tickets went on sale. Peter will likely have a similar statement on his site tomorrow. I’ll continue to keep you posted as more info develops but that’s where things are at now. I’m sure the audio will be on YouTube of Ace’s call but you can hear the entire show next weekend as usual on all affiliate stations and online outlets as well. Sad day for long time Kiss fans but at least we know where things stand as of now. The producer/director for the HOF show Joel Gallen expressed an interest in coming on the air soon. As usual my door is open to any and all to discuss. More soon.

I’m absolutely STUNNED and APPALLED by this “decision”! I have to respectfully disagree Eddie regarding the Hall’s part on this. If we’re being honest, it’s not the Hall’s responsibility to reconcile ANY band or artist they induct. Nor should it be. ALL FOUR ORIGINAL MEMBERS of Kiss are the ones who need to DO THE RIGHT THING…FOR THE FANS! They’re the ones who have to “get over” their PETTY B.S. That said, I appreciate Ace letting us know where everything stands at this point. To his credit, he did the right thing by informing us via your radio show. That is MUCH appreciated! Unfortunately, this just reinforces my belief that Kiss remain UNGRATEFUL about being inducted into the Hall after all these years of complaining about being snubbed. PATHETIC!

Don’t confuse Peter and Ace with Gene and Paul.
Both Ace and Peter were thrilled and were looking forward to performing. Those two have ‘nothing to get over’. It’s Paul and Gene who are being royal pricks.
My solution….. Nirvana is lacking a member to be inducted and Dave is a big time rock historian and loves Kiss, plus they did an awesome job at the induction ceremony honoring Rush. Play guitar and invite Peter to play drums and Ace to sit in also also and he will come out smelling like a rose.
It’s sad when a iconic band shows their true colors….I’ve never been a KISS fan because of Gene’s ego, and apparently Paul has the same one as well. Greed turns good men into assholes, and that seems to be what’s happened. Did Gene and Paul EVER care about fans?! Is it all about who gets the money in the pocket? Gene Simmons has always struck me as a very ego driven man, and ego like that is just disgusting! For the fans of Ace and Peter…that’s a slap in their faces. To the original KISS fans it’s a slap in the face…how can you respect a band who cannot respect their fans unless a price tag is involved?!

Gene and Paul have been fucking over Peter and Ace for years when they were with the band, and even during the reunion tours. They got them to sign over their rights to their image and royalties, and in my opinion Gene and Paul will ALWAYS BE DOUCHE BAGS for that, and everything else they’ve done to besmirch Ace and Peter for since . I love the early stuff but anything after Love Gun is difficult to listen to with the exception of a few slim picken’s from Dynasty, The Elder, Lick it Up, Animalize and Carnival of Souls. If they really play without Peter and Ace at the Hall of Fame induction, I hope Gene and Paul get pelted with rotten eggs.
