Gene Simmons alleges rock is dead yet a lot of major bands still release new albums with fresh material except Kiss lol.

Simmons and Stanley have said that putting out new material is a waste of time because it is too expensive to produce an album/cd/stream that will not sell and make its money back. I always took that quote as a slap in the face. I have ALWAYS bought and supported the music of KISS, especially the new material (Sonic Boom and Monster). What I WILL NOT purchase are the same old albums I already have whenever they release a “anniversary, etc” edition. They are financially stable enough to invest a portion of their money to put out new music. Listening to the original songs on Paul Stanley’s Soul Station shows me he can still write quality songs. I am very disappointed that the peers of KISS continue to release new material and KISS refuses. I guess they don’t have the drive or passion anymore.
