SHARON OSBOURNE AND TONY IOMMI REMEMBER OZZY ON THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF HIS PASSING

It’s hard to fathom, that it has been a year since iconic frontman, Ozzy Osbourne, has passed away.

His former Black Sabbath bandmate, Tony Iommi, honored the singer by writing on his Instagram:

“Hi everyone.

Well, it’s now a year since Ozzy’s passing and I still can’t believe that he’s not with us.

I watch him on YouTube and it feels like he’s still here with us. We always stayed in touch, almost every week or so and we’d usually talk about our ailments and then about what we’d been doing that particular week.

The fans have been absolutely brilliant and the love and respect that they have shown for him has just been amazing.

I’m so glad that we were able to play one final show with the original line up of Sabbath at the Back To The Beginning show in our home town of Birmingham! There will never be another Ozzy. I miss you my dear friend.

Tony 🙏X”

Osbourne‘s wife, Sharon, spoke with the BBC and said, “As Ozzy would say, ‘when you want to remember me, just yank up the music really loud, as loud as you can get it, and just head bang’.”

“He was authentic,” she remembered. “He never tried to be anything other than what he was, and he would tell you the truth about everything and that was him, you knew where you were with him.”

“He was just genuine, so genuine and funny,” she added. “I mean we could have the worst arguments in the world but we would end up laughing because he would say something so ridiculous that we would just crack up.”

Dana’s note: God bless you, Ozzy. We all miss you.

  1. Just purchased tix for Crazy Train – America’s favorite Ozzy tribute band! They’ve even toured with Zakk Wylde so you know they must be really good! Of course there’s only 1 Prince Of Darkness, but I’m sure he appreciates all these excellent musicians honoring his legacy!

  2. I can’t believe he’s been gone for a year already. I also can’t believe the concert has never been re-aired. It was over 4th of July weekend in the states. People were away from home here.
