I think based on technology, especially short videos, making most of the youth’s attention spans extremely short, yes, releasing singles is probably a smarter business model. It is the older fan base, that will most likely prefer a complete album.
Although, I must say, even in my youth, I would have preferred if bands had shorter EP’s that were all killer, no filler. I also remember the days of 45 records, where one could buy just a hit single.

Hi Dana, I have a question for Question Of The Week, if I may: Who is the absolute best band you have ever seen in concert, and who was the worst? Give reasons. Have a nice day!
Mr. Rock N’ Roll,
We did that already at your request (and Doug R.s): QUESTION OF THE WEEK, AS PER POSTERS DOUG R. AND MR. ROCK AND ROLL: WHAT WERE, THE BEST AND WORST, CONCERTS YOU EVER ATTENDED?.
Dana, I’m so sorry, I forgot that I asked that question before. I’m losing memory more.
Join the club, I am lucky my head is attached.
Something happens once you reach 50. My short tern is real bad sometimes.
Agreed!!!
We’re all suffering from CRSA – (can’t remember shit anymore!) Lol
LOL!!! ❤️❤️❤️
hahaha, I like that acronym @DougR
I can tell you what I want, and that’s full releases, but I don’t know the business end of it. It actually seems to work well both ways. One thing that I do think is horrible is releasing a song 3+ months out. No one will remember when the full release happens by then.
