I happen to love all of the military songs representing all the branches of our services, but for hard rock/metal I appreciate Metallica‘s For Whom The Bell Tolls, Def Leppard‘s Die Hard The Hunter and Iron Maiden‘s Ace’s High.

“The Soldier I’ve become” – The Summit, if you have never heard this song before or of The Summit, please do! They opened for Collective Soul a few nights ago, when they played “The Soldier I’ve Become,” all the Vets stood up and were honored by a thunderous ovation!
Tank – The War Drags Ever On
Motorhead – Bomber
Iron Maiden – Where Eagles Dare (Like “Aces High” better, but Dana already mentioned it, so….)
Slayer – War Ensemble
Metallica – Disposable Heroes
Saxon – Power and the Glory
Solid List. Love Saxon.
I love them all but one that immediately came to mind was “Another Hero Lost” by Shadows Fall.
Metallica’s Disposable Heroes, Metal Militia and One.
” Back to the front. You will do what I say, when I say.
Back to the front. You will die when I say, you must die.
Back to the front.
You coward, You servant, You blind man—Back to the Front! “
Tasker, all great Metallica songs!
Please please PLEASE listen to “Pvt. Ledbetter” by Tesla off of the Forever More album. I am not exaggerating, i tear up every time i listen to it. If i was ever in the military i would cry even more listening to it. Amazin song with AMAZING lyrics.
Shows why Tesla should NEVER be considered a hair band…they were so much more!!
