ORIGINAL KISS DRUMMER PETER CRISS RELEASES AN OFFICAL STATEMENT ABOUT THE RNRHOF INDUCTION

peterCriss400 Original KISS drummer Peter Criss has released the following statement about the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame induction:

“To KISS fans,

It’s disappointing to have to say to you, the fans, that as of today, Ace and I have been denied a performance with Gene and Paul for our Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. Tickets go on sale on Monday, February 24th, and I wanted to make sure that fans understood that no original performance, in or out of makeup, has been offered to us before they purchased their tickets. This is disgraceful and I feel bad for the fans who were looking forward to the four of us being inducted together.

God Bless,
Peter Criss – The Catman”

    1. And if it WAS for Peter & Ace, there would be no KISS.

Amazing how the same paragraph has two different meanings, isn´t it?

  1. Growing up, I was a huge KISS fan and I too started playing the drums after seeing Mr. Criss on the drums back in the early 70’s. Once I found out he also took lessons from Krupa….that sealed the deal. There are many people (not just musicians) past and present who I would love to drink a beer with. Mr. Criss is in the top 10. Thanks Peter…..and Ace too.

  2. I’m starting to feel sorry for Peter. Every other KISS post is getting hundreds of comments. Poor peter makes a statement calling this a ‘disgrace’ (much like his time in KISS), and he only gets 18 comments. I agree with Richman, Black Diamond should only be sung by Peter. The ‘Alive’ version is by far the best and Singer shouldn’t touch it. Haven’t read his bio yet. Even Lydia calls him out on his stories, so I’m thinking its in the Fiction column at the bookstore. Maybe you were just too trashed to remember things accurately. For what it’s worth Pete, you were the coolest guy in KISS meets the Phantom of the Park. Ace was a close second.

  3. It would be great if all four original members played (without makeup) for a one-off, three-song set at the RRHoF. However, how many people in this Comments section would be so forgiving as to agree to play with a guy who screwed them once by becoming a drug-addled liability; then screwed them again by making preposterous and unreasonable demands; AND who bad-mouthed them mercilessly in public through a book? Now Peter complains that he won’t get the opportunity to play with the same two guys he trashed (no, make that “three guys” since he trashed his “buddy” Ace too!)? Peter Criss shows himself (both in his book and now in his statement) to be exactly the self-entitled ingrate that Gene and Paul describe him to be. For all the grief they’ve had to tolerate from Peter, he should just politely show up, accept his award, and be grateful that Gene and Paul are still respectful enough towards him that they’ve decided to not play the HoF at all!
