Metallica goes back to their roots with early labelmates Raven to honor the Zazula Family with a Tribute Concert for charity.
“We’re excited to add one more night to the tour calendar this year with a special show at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on November 6th. This night will be extra-special as we’ll be celebrating the life, legacy and achievements of Jonny and Marsha Zazula.
Jonny gave us our first break in New York, released our first albums on his Megaforce Records label, and put us out on the road for our first real tour. With Marsha by his side, Jonny was a mentor, a manager, a label head, and a father figure to us all…. we would not be where we are today without the two of them. Sadly, we recently lost both Jonny and Marsha, just a little more than a year apart.
We’ll be cooking up a special setlist for you full of songs from our days with Jonny and Marsha at Megaforce. Our main touring partner from that time, Raven, will be joining us to add to the celebration and bring back the memories. Head out to Hard Rock Live and celebrate two heavy metal pioneers and champions with us.” shares Metallica.

A portion of the proceeds from this show will be donated inJonny and Marsha’s name to MusiCares, a safety net supporting the health and welfare of the music community offering preventive, emergency, and recovery programs to musicians and industry professionals. Additionally, All Within My Hands will once again be supporting Feeding South Florida with a donation following the show.
I wouldn’t mind being at this show one bit. Sounds like a fun gig. If Dave Mustaine was invited to play the full set with these guys I would probably be hunting for airline flights.
Good for Metallica for honoring the Zazula family in this manner…playing songs from the Megaforce
period and having Raven as “special guest” helps honor the Zazula era with Metallica.
I saw the “Kill em All for One Tour” with Metallica and Raven at the Country Club in Los Angeles. Great show!
I always hate it when I see this for charity events. Never is it ever revealed just how much the “portion” will actually go towards the charity. Given what Jonny and Marsha did for Metallica in launching their career, 100% of the proceeds should go towards the charity. I know Metallica can easily offset the costs of staging this one time only event. Do the right thing boys.
It great that they are doing it but Florida John and Marsha were from Jersey Being born and raised in NJ I’ve been to Johnny ‘s record place back in the day. Anyway I’d go see Metallica play song from that classic era
