Kelly Osbourne eviscerated Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider for disparaging her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, reports Page Six.
Earlier this week, Snider took to X to suggest that the Black Sabbath frontman “always” had someone else — like the band’s bassist Bob Daisley and late Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister — write “all” his songs for him.
Snider cryptically added that Osbourne’s widow, Sharon Osbourne, “doesn’t like to share.”
Osbourne took to her Instagram Story Friday to defend the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s legacy and contributions to rock music, beginning her written statement, “My father’s legacy as a musician, songwriter, singer and bandleader speaks for itself.”
She continued, “His friends, those who who worked with him, those who love him, and millions of fans around the world that still continue to buy his records know exactly what he meant what he contributed and what he leaves behind. His legacy will live on eternally.”
But the 41-year-old wasn’t done. She returned an hour later to directly address “spectacularly classless” and “irrelevant” Snider, 71, in a scathing takedown.
First, Osbourne called out the vocalist for “trying to diminish” [her father] and his “extraordinary abilities and achievements when he is no longer here to challenge [Snider’s] allegations,” adding that Snider “cannot claim to know the private reality” of her dad’s life “simply by looking in from the outside or from hearsay from a delusional man [Daisley, with whom Ozzy had a falling out] with a vendetta against my father.”
She then took the opportunity to make a “devastating” comparison between Osbourne’s lengthy career and that of Snider.
“Snider had a brief period of mainstream success more than 40 years ago. My fathers [sic] career spanned nearly six decades — from helping define heavy metal with Black Sabbath to building an extraordinary solo career,” she penned. “His music will continue influencing generations long after all of us are gone.”
Osbourne went on to wonder whether Snider’s “attempt to belittle” Ozzy was a way to get “people talking about him again” since “the music industry moved on from Snider’s commercial peak decades ago.”
By contrast, she argued that her father’s “name, catalogue and influence still remains [sic] globally relevant.”
Moreover, Kelly insisted that the Grammy winner “doesn’t need Dee Snider’s approval to establish his place in music history” and slammed the singer for “trying to make” Ozzy “smaller” in order to make himself feel “bigger.”
“It only reminds everyone of the enormous difference between their legacies and further proves just how irrelevant Snider is to the music industry and society as a whole,” she concluded her brutal upload. “However I would like to thank you Dee Snider for allowing the world to see how truly desperate he really is!”

Regardless of whether what Snider wrote was correct, or incorrect, that was a Richard move. Osbourne just passed a mere year ago, FFS, have some modicum of respect.

Dick move by Dee Snider. He should have kept his comments about Ozzy to himself. Dee Snider sure put himself “under the blade” with his comments.
Saw Twisted Sister numerous times in a club I worked at and frequented back in the last century. Incredibly energetic and loud……but never mistaken for good musicians. Back then when popular rock/metal bands came out with new material……….cover bands like TS would pick some of those songs and mix them into their sets. TS covering Ozzy, Van Halen, even AC/DC was always rushed, messy and always missed the mark. The few original TS songs were great live……..but that album they put out must have been recorded and mixed in a garage on Long Island. Just poorly done. They were, along with Dee, a gimmick. Fun a few times.

Dee Snider has always been a big mouth. He’s almost as full of himself as Gene Simmons is. I love how forty years later he almost always brings up his speech at the PMRC hearings lol He acts like he rewrote the constitution when talking about it. Kelly is right, Ozzys legacy will live on for a very long time. Twisted Sister has three decent albums to their names and nothing more. His solo stuff is a joke and nobody will even know it exists in fifty years. TS might have a few fans in fifty years, but Ozzy and Sabbath will be mainstays for long after. New generations will always discover their music. Dee just needs to stfu. He retired because he can’t perform like he used to, Ozzy practically died on stage. Ozzy was twice the man and performer Dee ever was.
