My first record from JP was Hell Bent and when I heard Burnin Up I was hooked. Will see them in downtown L.A. next month.
eddie.listened to ur podcast with priest.u had suggested maybe saints in hell???u asked halford if he could still do it,sing it??he said oh yah.he can.vast catalog of songs to choose from, they are plaing 15 songs.that last song is a minute long, doesnt count.40 years doesnt equal a 15 song set list.rush guys are around the same age.play about 24 or 25 songs with a break .25 minus 15 is 10 damn songs eddie.1.delivering the goods.2electric eye.3.blood red skies.4.heading out to the highway.5diamonds and rust.6.green manalishi.7.creatures.8.battle cry.9.cold blooded.10.down in flames.eddie the fact that some bands are plaing 75 minutes isnt an excuse for priest 40 years.why should i listen to your podcast????
I’m looking forward to seeing Judas Priest. I’m seeing them October 14 in Lowell,Ma. The songs that they play from the new album are excellent songs. I think 117 min is sufficient for Rons voice. I’m mostly looking forward to seeing Steel Panther. I know they’re crude, but musicly they’re tight. But just remember it’s not te quantity it’s the quality.
I listened to Redeemer, and I feared perhaps Rob’s better days had passed him. Only a couple screams, and not a lot in the high register… then I listened to the video of “Devil’s Child”…. Holy moly, that guy is not human. 63 and he sang it clean. Pretty impressed.
(Oh, and anyone who thinks 117 minutes is a ‘short set’ is just being unreasonable).
Throw out Jawbreaker and add either Bloodstone or The Ripper…can’t believe no Electric Eye though..that should be there too.
