I like the new album, but I cant believe they are opening with a new song.
What would you rather have, the same tired Hellion/Electric Eye? Dragonaut is a killer opening track, both for the album and the set list.
Dragonaut is a killer tune, but I’d rather they did open with a classic like Electric Eye. Just my opinion.
Brian, how many decades have they done that? Obviously it doesn’t apply to you, but a lot of us fans have always begged the band to mix things up. How many times do you need to hear the same songs? Hell, I wish they’d have retired BTL and LAM 20 years ago. Their catalog is SO deep that it’s a damn shame and a crime against the universe that so many of those songs never get any attention.
Agreed,play new music.
Amen Medved! I like it! Looks and sounds like a great opener!
Tired? Helion/ Electric Eye is a defining moment in metal.
I AM SO PUMPED!!!! They usually don’t play this many new songs from any album. And Valhalla! YES YES YES!!!!! While the set IS a bit short, still very solid. I just wish they’d bring back All Guns Blazing. That’s, by far, one of Glenn’s greatest solos and perhaps the greatest solo ever done – hands down.
Panther setlist was killer!
Set list looks good, be great if they added “Bloodstone”, and/or “Heading Out To The Highway”, but I’ll take it. Especially Valhalla! 😉
This is how it’s suppose to be done, make a record, tour and promote it. Do not play the same old shit everybody has seen a zillion times , keep it for the encore maybe you know a couple of classics. Kiss could learn from this … oh wait, Psycho Circus , Monster and Sonic Boom sucked. Ace really should produce there next record, Kiss that is. Priest rock on !!!
First of all stop with the Kiss insults, second, learn how to spell, third Ace sucks.
You suck !
If KISS did that, they’d be playing to either 1/3 filled arenas and mid level theatres every night like Priest is.
Otherwise this is a good set list although a little short. Playing 16 songs with just a crap opening band doesn’t cut it. I did read that they had problems and the show started an hour late, so that might be the reason for the shorter set lisy on night one, we’ll see.
Wrong! Priest catalog has sold how many copies/ tickets in the stand? 95% in attendance don’t even own Redemer.
