Man that guy is awesome, not to mention the band. Saw them last fall at the Elsinore and Marco was incredible. Hope to see them again.

Great clip – cool to see Marco playing live. Last footage I saw with him was when he was auditioning for DT. The box set is definitely worth it. I stopped (stupidly) picking up Joe’s albums after ‘Joe Satriani’. Thankfully, the set let me get reacquainted with his brilliance, especially what he developed after his heyday.

I’ve seen Joe in concert a few times over the years and he’s always been great. but the first time seeing him was when I was around 18 or 19 and me and the other guitarist in the band I was in at the time went to see him. That was the first time I’d ever seen a guitarist play instrumental music live like that and it was stunning. I spent most of the concert either with my jaw dropped or saying to myself “How the hell does he do that?”. It was life changing.
