Hey, what happened to the other 10 minutes of this song? This isn’t the proggy Maiden songs they’ve been most recently known for…..
This is a good song with a hot guitar break but why is Bruce’s voice so low in the mix?
Two things…..
Firstly, sounds like they’ve been listening to classic Judas Priest again – I can hear some of that riff from JP’S cover of The Green Manalish.
Secondly, there’s Steve Harris again playing the same old tired bass line – “Cluck-diddy-cluck-diddy-clunk.”
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I have absolutely no idea why this band is popular and continues to be……
And Adrian Smith and Bruce Dickinson are good outside the confines of the band.
Sorry….
D.J.H,,
You are not alone, I always said Harris’ bass line are always the same.
Yea DJH, I have thought this for years now that Maiden have not put out anything even good in years now. It sounds like kids playing around. One of my favorite releases of all time is Bruce Dickenson’s The Chemical Wedding. Unbelievable!! I have the bonus track version with the songs Return of the King, Real World and Confeos. Great songs!! Also the song King of Twilight is one of the best Iron Maiden song ever written. Good luck finding it!
