Guns N’ Roses launched its long-rumored and long-awaited reunion tour with an April 2016 club show in Hollywood and appearances in Las Vegas and at California’s Coachella festival.

Guns N’ Roses’ reunion tour features classic-lineup members Duff McKagan (bass), Axl Rose (vocals) and Slash (guitar),backed by guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and second keyboardist Melissa Reese.

Guns N’ Roses released a new four-song EP, Hard Skool (listen here), in February 2022. The effort, which is exclusive to the Guns N’ Roses’ official store, contained the two new songs the band released in 2021 — the title track and Absurd (listen here)— as well as live versions of Don’t Cry and You’re Crazy.

    1. Robert,

I love her (not necessarily her music). She, like Kelly Clarkson, can sing anything. She is a HUGE Guns fan, and when she tours, she always performs Guns songs in her sets, Axl has even joined her onstage, as guest.

Here she is singing Welcome To The Jungle with Axl, plus she has covered Def Leppard and Ozzy.

  1. Yes Carrie is the best female vocalist I’ve ever heard. She is more than just looks. She seems to be a great person as well. I’d love to hear her do a hard rock song with Lzzy Hale and/or Taylor Momsen as I think those two are the best female rock vocalists!

    1. My favorite female artist is Taylor Swift. Yep, I’m a ‘Swiftie’, but I still love Slayer, too. \m/

    2. Rattlehead & RPS – Have you seen the CMT Crossroads performance of Taylor Swift with Def Leppard?
It was released on DVD as a Walmart exclusive in 2009, recorded in 2008 features a then 18-year-old Taylor Swift playing with Def Leppard – and it’s friggin’ awesome!
She is such a talented musician, singer, and songwriter, AND she was humble & respectful to my favorite band Def Leppard. I instantly became a fan.

    3. Okay,

I see I am outlier here, but I don’t get Swifty, never have, never will.

What I am about to list is nothing new to Rattle, but for others:

      Pros: She’s tall?

Cons: Whiny, weak vocalist (see, You Belong To Me, as a perfect example), Juvenile “songwriting” and lyrics (this might be acceptable if the voice was top notch and the material, catchy and memorable. Also, if she actually wrote all of this dreck, but she doesn’t. As my fiancee says,”Change a word, get a third (Plus, the all important co-writing credit)), came from privilege and had her Daddy buy her “career” (again might be acceptable if she had the chops to back it up).

Finally, another female vocalist, like Clarkson, and Underwood, that can sing practically anything, is Jennifer Nettles. I had no idea how proficient she was, until I saw her on a talent show. She had to to co-sing all different genres of music with her team members. She could do it all and is a phenomenal singer.

    4. MM, I did see Swift’s performance with Def Leppard. It was indeed great! Personally, I think her voice made the songs sound better than with Joe Elliott’s voice.

I wish I was able to get tix for Taylor Swift’s ‘Era Tour’, but the Ticketmaster fiasco screwed it up for me.

  2. She has a great voice sing. She sings live and no lip syncing. I respect any artist that does that, at least you get your monies worth. I guess your gonna see Axl, and Carrie, coming out on each at others performance.

    1. RPS, I 100% concur with your comment. Me, my and son last saw her on the ‘1989’ tour. That is my most favorite album of hers….

    2. And BTW, since this is a G&R article, I feel it necessary to post a comment about G&R…….IMO, they’re one of the most, if not THE most, OVERRATED rock bands in rock history.

  3. I have heard enough Guns and Roses to last me the rest of my life. Dont need to hear one more song or see their greatest hits from thirty years ago tour.
Now I love Belinda Carlisle. Runaway Horses is her best work. but my favorite cd that I gave away recently to a dying friend is anthrax vol 8 the threat is real!
