Ok, so maybe it wasn’t perfect, but it was still great seeing Ace & Peter performing together again! And how about VV, – he actually showed up!!
Saw a lot of the posts on the other hard rock news sites. Surprised Vinnie Vincent showed, and he was wearing from what I can tell, his old Anke makeup..Hard to tell from the fan post who was playing, considering they didn’t allow phone filming during Vincent’s performance. Peter sounded good, for a 76 year old. Assuming Vinnie didn’t have any tracks other than the drum tracks which Ave had a hard time playing to (as it should be) wish I was there
other sites posts were tearing them up, as usual, but it wasn’t no Santa Cruz, and that’s a good thing.
So great seeing the real Catman and Spaceman on stage together.
I didn’t recognize Vinnie Vincent without her pantsuit.
LOL!
To think what once started in a loft on East 23rd street has come to this. My my my. Yes it’s nice to see Ace and Peter onstage together again. But it’s time to step away (Did you see 2000 man at poolside or Hard Luck Woman/Strange Ways on Friday night??). If only Kiss could’ve walked away with their dignity in 2001. But no they had to hire two dudes to wear Ace and Peter’s makeup. I’m not gonna comment on Vinnie. Bruce is still great. It’s just mind blowing that the overall Kiss product (Stan’s lip syncing and the aforementioned comments I just made) has sunk so damn low.
I watched the little bit of VV footage … gotta say for me beyond bizarre.. there is something definitely wrong with this ” person” – Pete sounded really good for his age , pretty solid drumming good vocals as well~ he seemed to need a little help getting to the kit in the videos I watched, made me a bit sad … ace is ace , I wish he would stay on the mic more , and kulicks band is fantastic they kill it everytime they get together!
“There is something definitely wrong with this ‘person'”
That reminds me of what Stan said about The Mole in the movie South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999)
“Man, that kid is f**ked up!”
