  1. Came home from work this afternoon, and on the porch was my box set I pre-ordered. Very excited to read the booklet and start listening to these albums! I know there are some Leppard fans who are stuck at “High and Dry” and “Pyromania,” but no other band works as hard as Def Leppard to keep making and releasing old and new music. “X” is a very underrated and dismissed album. It’s as a good as anything they did in the 80s.

  2. I know I’m in the minority here , many of my friends give me s—t about this too lol , but I have never liked joe elliot’s voice live or on recordings so it’s tough for me to really get into leppard – if I had to pick a favorite song its let it go from high n dry – and their cover of stay with me phil collen IMO is an amazing soulful singer much better than joe elliot – all that said this seems to be a pretty an awesome well put together set for fans of def leppard – they have had a great career and I think they definitely belong in the HOF.

    1. Robert,

It’s okay, you’re entitled to your opinion. There are many popular bands, and singers, I don’t like, either, and no, it’s not a matter of being a contrarian, or non conformist, it’s all a matter of personal, subjective taste and preference.

    2. Exactly, I HATE Queensryche, all of em! Especially Tate, always hated his voice! As far as Leppard, in my opinion they were at their best in the ’80s (like most bands) with a few good tunes afterwards. “Glad I’m Alive” should’ve been on “On Through The Night,” or “High ‘N’ Dry.” “Me & My Wine” best b-side, and “No Matter What” best Leppard cover, again, in my opinion. Always loved the original by Badfinger, but DL did a great job on it. Well, I’m off to the hospital, again! Somebody Get Me A Doctor! 😉

  3. I’ve been a huge fan of Def Leppard since their introduction to America in 1980 and would consider them my favorite band. As a lifelong fan I’ve collected pretty much every piece of media these guys have released. So, a lot of these tracks I own through various CD singles & special editions. That said, it’s great having ALL the extras & bonuses housed in these box sets. I love the high quality production & packaging of the box sets. As the completest that I am, I pre-ordered Volume 3 but it won’t arrive ’til Thursday (damn media mail). So to the Lepps, Keep putting out this fantastic merchandise and I’ll keep sending you my money!

    1. Mikey,

You have excellent taste, Leppard was my favorite band, until Priest usurped them. However, they are still one of my all time favorite bands, and since they are still your favorite, I understand your enthusiasm for all their releases.
