With the exception of the intro, which reminded me of Mötley Crüe’s Don’t Go Away Mad, Just Go Away, I like this, it has some balls in certain parts and reminds me of the Leppard I fell in love with.

Dana, funny what you said about the intro sounds a bit like the Crüe song. Weird coincidence the last song had a bit of Joan Jett, another fellow stadium toure. Is the next one gonna sound like a poison song? But all in all, like this song looking forward to the album in May.

They definitely had the music for “I Hate Myself For Loving You” somewhere in the back of their minds when they wrote “Kick!”

I hear more of a King’s X vibe than Joan Jett.

I totally dig this song! Joe Elliott’s voice coming down a bit in register gives the band’s sound a totally fresh feel, even as the music sounds closer to their older classics.

If the first single (which I thought was great) and this song are any indication, these guys are in peak form and I have high hopes for the new album.

    Hi Dana

I heard this this morning on the radio whilst at work. Very good indeed; I’m waiting for Ben on YouTube (BWM5150) to have this figured out and uploaded real quick like he did with the first new track Kick.

(By the way; how’s your mother doing – if you don’t mind me asking?)

      Hi my friend,

No, I appreciate your asking. She is the same, but seems to have caught a cold now, I am praying that is all that it is. Her body cannot handle much more.

      XO

By far, this is the best Leppard song I’ve heard in over 20 years! – “Promises” (1999)

And I was ready to not like it. But I agree with you 100%

I believe this new album is going to monumental! Two great songs released bodes well for the rest of the album. I am so glad Leppard is reclaiming their throne as the greatest rock band to come out of the 80s. To still be relevant and rocking after all these years only continues to add to their historic legacy!
