Any word on Dennis DeYoung and his powdered wig?
his wig isn’t powdered. it’s mature. his show is more entertaining the current styx show.
I have some older cousins that from time to time will bring up the time they saw Styx make fools of themselves at the Texxas Jam over 30 years ago. Why did Dennis DeYoung think it was a good idea to act out KILROY WAS HERE on stage in front of 80,000 drunk, stoned and rowdy Texas rock fans?
So it’s triple bill now … I would not call Styx, not even Tesla, your typical ‘supporting act’.
Fair enough,
I will modify the headline now.
D 🙂
I guess they ARE supporting acts, regarding the contracts, but it just goes to show that even a double bill of two renowned bands sometimes is not enough these days to fill mid-sized arenas. It is a shame. Unfortunately Styx does no longer tour Europe, like other favourite bands, e.g. Heart, probably many over here would like to see one more time, they only concentrate on the US/Canadian market. I think if they made up a double bill like this they would be able to play maybe 5-8,000 seaters over here as well. Which would be profitable. When I look at bands like the Wombats I saw on TV yesterday, that play big festivals – at least over here – it hurts – I scratch my head and wonder what on earth made people support such crap, bands that cannot play their instruments properly, singers with no voice, songs with no hookline or structure … I would love to see this triple bill, because they will deliver.
I feel your pain, I scratch my head over the garbage that sells over here in America as well. I always said the masses love mediocrity.
At least, Airbourne plays over in Europe, they rarely play the States.

I wonder why the metal/rock press even bothers to cover Def Leppard anymore. They stopped being anything resembling a rock band after Hysteria. And I mean that seriously. Just because they were great through Pyromania (which was one of my first two metal albums)….well, it’s a completely different band now.
