JUDAS PRIEST is better than DEF LEPPARD.

      Def Leppard? Maybe.
Prime rib? No! Nobody is better than prime rib! 😉

Non-issue, as Priest is already coming to Canada this summer, with Heep opening.

Got tenth row. Then two months later, it’s Maiden time!

Just remember, Hysteria was released 1 year AFTER Turbo! Just sayin’… Is Judas Priest really better than Def Leppard? Hu knows

    Hello Eh-Can-A-Da…. Hello Eh-Can-A-Da
Well I’m takin’ me a trip I’m goin’ down to Saskatchewan
Yeah, I’m gonna try Winnipeg and Thunder Bay, yay, yay

Prime Rib, though tasty causes high cholesterol, JUDAS PRIEST does not cause high cholesterol. JUDAS PRIEST is better than prime rib. PRESSURE by Billy Joel is better than RIPPER OWENS era JUDAS PRIEST. PRESSURE is better than TONY MARTIN era SABBATH except for GLORY RIDE, NIGHTMARE, and WHEN DEATH CALLS. As for that photo of DEF LEPPARD, they look like the aging bikers in that old Viagra commercial.
TELL ME NOT FEAR OF THE FLAMES MEANS THAT HEAVEN IS CLOSER

IOMMI, if you’re out there, hurry up with the FORBIDDEN remaster.

Monet, you got me thinking now, damn it! It’s too early to think!

Priest is better than Leppard but did Priest have a record as good as Pyromania?

I got Forbidden in my CD player and I can’t get it out…I think it’s actually the best one they ever did with Tony Martin, Monet. And it’s Tony THE CAT Martin. Something about his voice that really blends nicely with Iommi..those warm tones. Tony rights these great songs and I love how some of his riffs are just straight up punk rock..like he’s practically Johnny Ramone…that riff he goes into at the end of Get A Grip for example. Forbidden is great; not least of which due to Cozy Powell; this might be my favorite performance from him….the way he slides into those accents and fills; dynamic, and I like the drum sound; it’s punchy and not overblown like the sound of a balloon getting stepped on. I really like every song on it. Lol..and everybody hated it when it came out….goodness, it’s way better than 13, or even The Devil You Know…the band aren’t trying to capture some conceived notion of what Sabbath is, they are just being comfortable, plenty of air conditioning, nice catering…and let’s just see what comes out guys…it’s a very natural record.

Another aspect of Forbidden is Ice T’s rap, which lasts what? 4 bars? he’s on like .01% of the record and people flipped out over it. That part doesn’t take anything away from that record. Maybe it doesn’t add much to it…I think it’s fine on there….but it doesn’t take away anything.

I almost didn’t recognize Phil Collen in that pic cuz he was wearing a shirt :o)

…writes…Dana, can you help me please? 🙂

    • Dana on

Huh? Are you referencing Priest making a better album then Pyromania?

Well, in my case, Def Leppard was my favorite band, and Pyromania, my all time favorite album.

Then, I bought Screaming For Vengeance, and Judas Priest became my favorite band, and Screaming For Vengeance, my all time favorite album. Def Leppard, and Pyromania, became my second favorite. So, there’s that…

    • Doug R. on

I’ll still take prime rib over SFV or Pyro! 😉
