MOTORHEAD CANCEL EUROPEAN TOUR DATES DUE LEMMY KILMISTER’S ONGOING HEALTH ISSUES

Motorhead400 Another health-related issue has forced Motorhead to cancel a run of 2014 European tour dates. According to the band, frontman Lemmy Kilmister has been advised by doctors to stay off the road due to issues stemming from diabetes.

Since mid-2013, reports concerning Lemmy’s health have been extremely divided. Bandmates, friends, business partners and Lemmy himself have detailed the ups and downs of the frontman’s current health scare. In fact, Motorhead canceled their original European tour back in October, so this marks the second time in only three months that Lemmy’s health has stopped the band from invading Europe.

Motorhead broke the bad news with a statement on their official website:

It is with great regret that Motörhead has to announce the cancellation of their European tour, scheduled to start February, 2014.
Many concerted, diligent and focused efforts were made by founding member, and international icon, Lemmy Kilmister to deal with a range of health issues relating to diabetes. While there has been undoubted progress, Lemmy and the band were advised by doctors that it was still too soon to resume full touring activities, and so for the good of the future, the band and Lemmy reluctantly agreed to cancel.
No-one is hurting more over this than Lemmy, and he feels the aggravation and inconvenience of every ticket, and every method of transportation, already paid for by loyal fans in anticipation of the tour. Being a road warrior of over 50 dedicated, non-stop years, it is equally distressing for him to be unable to occupy the top lounge of the trusty tour bus (his spiritual home) but Lemmy recognizes that his long-term health must win. It goes without saying that Lemmy profusely apologizes for inconveniences caused, but he does want everyone to know that he is continuing on the road to a full recovery, and that the prognosis long-term is very good. Fans have shown tremendous support for Lemmy, and it has meant so much to him. As he told Rolling Stone, “Oh, man, the fans were unbelievable when I got sick,” he says. “No bitching. It was all ‘Take your time, get better. Don’t worry, we’ll wait for you. Get well.’” Rome was not built in a day…like Lemmy’s health. But there is some strong light at the end of the tunnel here…we thank you so very much for your continued love, support and understanding.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Lemmy detailed how he’s stopped the majority of his drinking, cut his cigarette habit down from two packs a day to just a few cigarettes a day and began an exercise regimen.

SEVENDUST SET TO LAUNCH ACOUSTIC “AN EVENING WITH SEVENDUST” TOUR APRIL 1ST; ACOUSTIC ALBUM, “TIME TRAVELERS & BONFIRES,’ DUE THE SAME MONTH

2685289-Sevendust-2012-617 Sevendust didn’t waste any time getting 2014 started the best way they know how: being holed up in the recording studio to create their long-awaited and highly-anticipated acoustic album. Time Travelers & Bonfires will be released in April on 7Bros. Records, in conjunction with ADA Label Services.

On April 1st, they will hit the road for their first U.S. headlining tour of the year, entitled An Evening With Sevendust, which begins in Athens, GA at the Georgia Theatre (see itinerary below) . It’s their first acoustic jaunt since 2004, when they were touring in support of their second album, Seasons, and a format their fans have been anxiously awaiting for once again.

The Atlanta band–Lajon Witherspoon (vocals), Morgan Rose (drums/vocals), Clint Lowery (guitar/vocals), John Connolly (guitar/vocals) and Vince Hornsby (bass/vocals)—entered Architekt Studios in Butler, NJ (where they recorded their previous Black Out The Sun album) at the beginning of the month to record their highly anticipated and much-talked-about acoustic studio album.

It will be a collection of brand new songs, along with re-recorded Sevendust favorites. Newly re-recorded songs will include: Black, Gone, Denial, Karma, Trust, and Crucified. Six brand new songs have also been written and recorded for the acoustic album. It’s not the first time Sevendust has explored their acoustic side. Their critically acclaimed Southside Double-Wide live acoustic album was released in 2004.

On Friday, November 22nd, 2013, Sevendust partnered with PledgeMusic for a direct-to-fan campaign to help fund the creation of Time Travelers & Bonfires and was set to last a 130 days. Over the course of that first weekend, they reached their goal thanks to their “family” of fans who had received the exciting news solely from the band’s and band member’s personal Facebook and Twitter sites. Sevendust has always said they consider their fans to be part of the Sevendust Family, and they certainly proved their love and devotion for the band with the immediate response to the PledgeMusic opportunity.

With over 70 days left in the campaign, the band has raised over 155% of their goal with over 2,550 pledges. Exclusive incentives for pledgers included a digital download of the album before its available anywhere, exclusive updates during the making of the record, signed drumheads and guitar picks, being included in the album’s liner notes, autographed guitars used on tour, and dinner with the band (which was swapped up quick by two very lucky “family” members).

Black Out The Sun debuted at #1 on Billboard’s “Top Hard Music Albums” chart, as well as #18 on the “Top 200 Albums” chart, #4 on the “Record Label Independent Current Albums” chart, #5 on the “Top Current Rock Albums” chart, #14 on the “Overall Digital Albums” chart and #17 on the “Top Internet Albums” chart.

Later this month, Sevendust will be aboard the ShipRocked 2014 cruise, along with Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, In This Moment, Tremonti, Black Stone Cherry, and many others. The ultimate rock music cruise vacation onboard the Norwegian Pearl will depart from the Port Of Miami and will visit Great Stirrup Cay–a private island in the Bahamas–during the January 26-30 excursion. A limited number of staterooms for the ShipRocked 2014 experience are still available at www.ShipRocked.com.

DOKKEN’S “BREAKING THE CHAINS,” “TOOTH AND NAIL” AND “UNDER LOCK AND KEY” ARE BEING REMASTERED

dokkenoriginal400 Dokken’s first three full-length albums- Breaking The Chains, Tooth And Nail, and Under Lock And Key– are being remastered as Special Deluxe Collector’s Editions by Rock Candy Records.

Each release contains fully remastered sound shaped from 24 BIT digital technology, 16 page full color booklet, 3,500 word essay, enhanced artwork, rare photos and a new interview with frontman Don Dokken. The Tooth And Nail remaster also includes the bonus tracks Just Got Lucky (single edit) and Alone Again (live in Japan).

Each of these re-releases, and several other classic remasterings, can be purchased direct from Rock Candy Records at www.rockcandyrecords.com..

Issued in 1981 through Elektra Records, the superior, revised and remixed version of Dokken’s European debut Breaking The Chains attracted instant acclaim and featured several Dokken classics, including I Can’t See You, In The Middle, Seven Thunders and the full throttle title track itself.

Originally released in 1984, Tooth And Nail captivated Dokken’s audience with an array of classy hard rock, big on hooks and full of energy. Songs such as Into The Fire, Heartless Heart and the power ballad Alone Again helped to place Dokken firmly in the big league and resulted in a platinum album.

Produced by British studio wizard Neil Kernon (Queensryche, Kansas, Autograph) and Michael Wagener (Motley Crue, Extreme), 1985’s Under Lock And Key is generally regarded as one of Dokken’s best albums, giving rise to a number of classics, including The Hunter, Unchain The Night, It’s Not Love and the chart hit In My Dreams.
