Gigwise caught up with Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi at the Q Awards.
When asked what it was like seeing original drummer Bill Ward at the Ivor Novello awards? Iommi responded, “It was good, it was really nice to see Bill. We do stay in contact..It was a nice warm feeling.”
When asked if thought Ward would be joining the band on their The End tour? Iommi replied, “No, to be honest – I don’t know if that’s going to happen. But who knows? You never know.”

Don’t worry Bill, if you’re still looking for work, you can always join Juan of the twenty-Juan RATT tribute bands out there, LOL!
My Juan thing is still going. Love it. Jacob DeGrom is number Juan man.
LET’S GO METS! 🙂
I’m still holding out hope that they can get it together and Bill can at least join them onstage for their final concert. It would be nice if Tony, Geezer, Ozzy, and Bill could ride into the sunset together.
Stranger things have happened. Who would’ve ever thought Tony and Geezer would patch things up with Ronnie James Dio?
Sod all this! I want a Born Again reunion!
Me too Tyger. HOT LINE live again not to mention DISTURBING THE PRIEST would be awesome. Bill Ward did the record but Bev Bevan did the tour so I don’t know if Bev gained weight in the past 30 years but get somebody the lap band. Rex Ryan looks like Manute Bowl and Chris Christie has less chins than a Chinese phone book so on with it.
That would be very cool. I guess they’d have to call the group “Born Again.”
I’d also like to see an Iommi / Glenn Hughes tour. They could perform stuff from Seventh Star, DEP Sessions, and Fused. Plus, imagine a version of “Burn” with Tony on guitar as an encore.
come see juan croucier’s black ratt featuring bill ward: performing classics including: “back for bill” and “nobody drums for free”.
I know Bill says he is healthy but you are forgetting a few worn out favorites like,
“unwanted man, lack of compensation, pay is down, keep it all, way cruel jr. , blame blame blame, paying you is a dirty job, and slip of the hip….
is that tony iommi or tom jones?
It’s not unusual to dump your drummer for being fat
