GRETA VAN FLEET TO PERFORM AT SIR ELTON JOHN’S ACADEMY AWARDS VIEWING PARTY

One of rock’s hottest new bands, Greta Van Fleet will perform at this year’s Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 26th annual Academy Awards Viewing Party to be held on Sunday, March 4th in Los Angeles.

“We were speechless when Elton called us,” said the band’s guitarist Jake Kiszka. “We are all big fans of his, so are very, very honored by this invitation.”

And if that incredible news wasn’t enough, every, single ticket for the first leg of the band’s 2018 North American tour, announced just last Wednesday, sold out in less than five minutes.

Twenty-seventeen was a remarkable year for the band, starting with the March 31 release of the debut single Highway Tune that claimed the number one spot at Rock Radio for five consecutive weeks, amassed 10-million Spotify plays, and the companion music video having accumulated more than 6.8-million YouTube views, all by the end of the year. All 42-headline dates on GVF’s 2017 tour sold out in advance, their debut EP, Black Smoke Rising entered the U.S. and Canadian iTunes charts at #1, and the band was named one of the “10 New Artists You Need to Know” by Rolling Stone, and Best New Artist by Loudwire.

FOZZY DEBUTS NEW “PAINLESS” VIDEO; “JUDAS RISING TOUR” BEGINS FEBRUARY 28TH

With Fozzy set to hit the road next month for their Judas Rising Tour, the active rock band led by Chris Jericho have released the music video for Painless, the latest single from their Judas album (Century Media). The video originally premiered via Loudwire.com yesterday and can be viewed below.

Click here to read Loudwire‘s interview with Jericho about the video. The song follows the band’s Judas single, a top five hit at active rock radio with more than 14 million YouTube views. Watch the video for the song below.

“We are so excited to introduce the new video for Painless to the world…” Chris Jericho says. “In essence it’s a sequel to the Judas video and continues the story of the two different dimensions converging. Plus it’s got blazing fires, hot chicks and a pillow fight…what more could you ask for in a rock vid?? Check it out now.”

Next up, Fozzy will launch their 25-date Judas Rising Tour February 28th in New Orleans, LA. The headlining trek will take the band (Jericho: vocals, Rich Ward: guitars, vocals, Frank Fontsere: drums, Billy Grey: guitars and Paul DiLeo: bass) from east to west, including stops in Los Angeles on March 10th and New York City on April 5th, before bringing them back across the country through the spring. Special guests Through Fire, Santa Cruz and Dark Sky Choir will round out the bill for the night of rock.

In their more than 20-year career, Fozzy has always been about hard work, dedication and delivering great rock ‘n’ roll to their devoted fans worldwide; reminding them that music is all about invoking dirty, sweaty jubilation and doing it loudly! However, calling them just “entertainers” would be abridging their talent as Ward is one of the most versatile, underrated riffers in rock ‘n’ roll and Jericho’s vocal range and passion for music makes one wonder just how he is able to excel in pretty much everything he does. Throw in the powerhouse rock solid drumming of Fontsere, the blazing leads of Grey and the genius and energy of returning bassist DiLeo and it’s no surprise that FOZZY has skyrocketed into becoming one of the hottest rock acts in years.

M3 CELEBRATES THEIR 10TH ANNIVERSARY, FESTIVAL SCHEDULED FOR MAY 4TH-6TH IN COLUMBIA, MARYLAND

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the annual can’t-miss congregation of heavy, hair and glam metal bands that is the M3 Rock Festival returns to Columbia, Md.’s Merriweather Post Pavilion Friday, May 4th and Saturday, May 5th. Returning for the second year, M3 Southern Rock Classic will hit the stage Sunday, May 6th. Multi-day tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 2nd at 10am EST through ticketfly.com.

Turning back the clock to the 1980s with dedicated fans from six continents, 15 countries and 40 states, M3 is known for its idolized metal bands and vibrant, devout audience. The first two days will once again feature full sets of heavy metal hits and glam rock, taking place on two separate stages – Merriweather’s main pavilion stage and the Chrysalis stage in the woods — each simulcasting the other, giving fans the option to stay in one seat and watch all the bands as they appear on both stages, or move from stage to stage without missing a note. The music continues one more day with the return of the M3 Southern Rock Classic.

I.M.P. Presents M3 Rock Festival starts with The Official M3 Kix-Off Party on Friday, May 3rd at 4:30pm, featuring Kix (the local legends with a perfect attendance record – having played every single M3), Cinderella’s Tom Kiefer, Y&T, Faster Pussycat and Nelson. The full-blown 2018 M3 Rock Festival begins Saturday, May 5th at 10:30am and includes Queensrÿche, Ace Frehley, Night Ranger, Slaughter, LA Guns, Lynch Mob, Loudness, Last In Line, Pretty Boy Floyd and Tyketto.

Sunday’s Southern Rock Classic returns this year with The Marshall Tucker Band (who made their Meriweather debut in 1979), Blackberry Smoke, The Outlaws, Pure Prairie League, The Georgia Satellites, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin Stones and 1 Nite Stand.

Over the past 10 years, M3 has become more than a festival. For those who fell in love with hair metal in the ‘80s and teenagers finding it now M3 is a true scene; a coming together of rock, and of hair. “It’s really one of our signature events,” said Seth Hurwitz, chairman of I.M.P. and operator of Merriweather. “This area has one of the greatest histories for this kind of music, so it’s become a total reunion for the Hammerjack’s –type crowd. And then you have a whole new generation that never got to see this music live. So, M3 is all kinds of people, all ages, wearing black and rocking out all day. It’s some of the best people watching you will ever experience, and the music still rocks it as hard and real as it ever did.”

Each year VIP and Pavilion seats sell out quickly. Two-day, three-day and VIP packages go on sale Friday, Feb. 2nd at 10am EST through ticketfly.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the Merriweather Post Pavilion, 9:30 Club, The Anthem and Lincoln Theatre during normal box office hours. If available, single-day tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks. For more information, visit ticketfly.com or M3rockfest.com.

RICHIE KOTZEN RELEASES VIDEO FOR NEW SONG “THE DAMNED,” APRIL TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED

GRETA VAN FLEET ANNOUNCES INITIAL NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES FOR 2018

Greta Van Fleet, who took the 2017 music scene by storm with its dynamic rock n’ roll debut single Highway Tune claiming the #1 spot at Rock Radio for five consecutive weeks, amassing 10-million-plus Spotify plays and 6.8-million YouTube views in 2017 alone, selling out every single one of its headline dates in advance, and being named Loudwire’s “Best New Artist,” will kick off its 2018 tour schedule at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Friday, April 13th. The band’s itinerary will include a slew of other major outdoor music festivals as well as headline dates that will see them playing to larger-capacity venues and multiple nights in some cities. Five of the dates – Houston, Dallas, Nashville and two nights in Detroit – went on sale last week and all sold out in under 15-minutes. Tickets for Greta Van Fleet’s headline dates for this leg go on sale to the public this Friday, January 26th; log on to gretavanfleet.com for all ticket purchasing info.

“We love making music and we love playing shows, but we never expected anything like the attention we’ve been getting,” said bassist Sam Kiszka. “We are truly humbled by the response we’ve gotten, and are very excited to get back on the road and play for our fans.”

Prior to the tour, the Frankenmuth, MI-based Greta Van Fleet – 21-year old vocalist Josh Kiszka, brothers Jake (guitar, also 21) and Sam (bass, keys, 18), and longtime family friend Danny Wagner (drums, also 18) – are spending January and February recording its debut full-length album anticipated to be released late Spring/early Summer (Lava/Republic Records). The album will be recorded in Nashville and Detroit and produced by Al Sutton and Marlon Young, the duo that helmed the band’s critically-acclaimed, chart-topping/breakout EP Black Smoke Rising (4/21/17) and the follow up From The Fires double EP (11/10/17). For the album, the band has an archive of songs written over the past few years as well as brand new material penned late last year when they spent a week in the Tennessee woods. So, fans can look forward to the next evolution of, as Revolver magazine put it, Greta Van Fleet’s “high-octane, soul-and R&B-influenced riff rock.”

“Each of us has his own set of influences so that brings a great diversity to the music we make,” said Jake. “Every one of our songs has its own unique complexities and we’d like for the full album to showcase that diversity, let people see what we can really do.”
