Hard rock’s greatest asset of recent years, Alter Bridge, is hitting the road stateside one more time in 2014. The band will be heading out on a headline run this October in support of their latest album, Fortress. This 13-city run comes on the heels of their sold-out tour this past Spring which had critics raving across the country. ArtistDirect exclaimed about the band’s live show, “Alter Bridge deserves to be one of the biggest bands in North America… It’s time for a revolution over here. It’s time for Alter Bridge to rule…” The headline tour kicks off October 7th in Louisville and runs through October 26th where it wraps up in Los Angeles with more dates possibly to be added during the tour. Alter Bridge will be making stops in Huntington, St. Louis, Seattle and San Francisco to name a few. California Breed has been tapped to open the entire tour with Like A Storm and The Cringe alternating slots depending on the market. Tickets for the tour are on-sale now and fans can here for direct buy links to each show. See tour itinerary below
Alter Bridge will also be making a stop at the upcoming Louder Than Life Festival on October 4th before their headline tour kicks off. The festival is taking place in Louisville, KY and Alter Bridge will be playing alongside the likes of Judas Priest, Korn, Limp Bizkit and Stone Temple Pilots. Tickets for the two-day festival can be purchased byclicking here.
The band recently released a box set to coincide with the anniversary of their first album, One Day Remains. AB X contains 27 discs including all available footage and recordings from various periods throughout the band’s career including Live from Wembley, Download Festival 2005 & 2011 as well as every studio album the band has recorded. Long Island and no NYC? That’s pathetic.
A good band, but a BOX SET? Come on!
About shows NOT being in NYC? Several causes: Parking, or lack of it, meaning loss of revenue, because the smart bands are now asking for parking revenue…and unions. Most theaters and halls in NYC are controlled by unions and make playing very expensive and inconvenient.
Myles please slow down or your voice is gonna be shot way too soon in your career!
