5/9: RECAP FROM LA, EPICENTER IN NC THIS WEEKEND.

Back from another great trip to LA. The Ride For Ronnie was a great success and what an amazing surprise to have Dave Grohl join us for a few songs. That really added a huge buzz and will hopefully help raise even more money for future Dio Cancer Fund events. Great to host this each year and thanks to all who came by and also all that performed.

Monday’s Trunk Nation LA Invasion from the Rainbow was another great one! Thanks to Sammy Hagar, Vic Johnson, Jason Bonham and Michael Anthony who came by in hour 1, and Duff McKagan & Shooter Jennings for coming by hour 2. And of course all the fans who came by to watch. If you missed this show it’s On Demand now on the SiriusXM app and will also replay on 106 this Sat & Sun 8-10P ET. Info on the June Invasion soon.

Tuesday I hosted Sammy Hagar & The Circle at a private show at the Troubador. The band truly was great and the performance was recorded for air on SiriusXM. Great set of solo, VH, Montrose and even a Zep tune, and the new stuff was great. Sammy remains a FREAK at how good he is at 71 and how much fun he is still having making music. Awesome!

Also thanks to Phil X who joined me Tuesday on air on Volume.

The Who Top 20 on Volume got great response. Thanks to all who got involved.

Headed to my first of 3 festivals this month. I’ll be with Don & Jim at Epicenter in NC this weekend. We will be in the Village stage Fri & Sat 5:45P, come see us.

New podcast now up with Skid Row and Glenn Hughes as guests.
