8/28: LABOR DAY WEEKEND SCHEDULE AND UPDATE

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

I’ll be at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood FL until Monday. Hosting Slash there Friday (headline show) and Deep Purple there Sunday. Always a fun time at this venue. I’ll be in the casino just outside the Hard Rock Cafe after both shows selling and signing my books and hanging out. Come by if you are in the area. No charge of any kind for the after show. Slash on at 8, Purple at 7, no opener either show.

My FM syndicated radio show this weekend is a double shot special with two songs at least in a row from all your favorite artists. Kicks off this Friday 11P on Q104.3 NYC and WAAF/Boston and on all affiliates usual day and time (listed on this site under Live & On The Air). Remember you can catch all the streams as well.

No TrunkNation Lobor Day Monday. SiriusXM is running a Motley Crue radio special. Back live a week from Monday 6P ET.

  1. Really enjoyed the latest podcast. But one thing: You guys rave on and on about the track “Pig” on Overkill’s new album being great. I think all three of you got it wrong. It’s Bitter Pill! (I know, I know, no one ever agrees. Just saying!) What a KILLER song.

  2. Thanks for a nice summer Eddie…looking forward to football starting for real next week. Can you believe it, I have to fly from the bay area to Pittsburgh on Sunday September 7 (opening day!!!) and work back east the following week. I booked my flight so that I can get to Pittsburgh in time to see my 49ers play the Cowboys on Sunday.

Enjoy Labor Day weekend in Florida. Will be glad when TMS is back, and keep looking for another outlet for a TV show. And lol, get an agent…!

  3. Eddie, not sure if you have been keeping an eye on the kiss/def lep tour? I saw them in pittsburgh recently and it was one of the best kiss shows I have ever seen ( have seen the almost 20 times) There was a lot of energy, gene was solid and Paul’s voice sounded great. Overall it was a great show by kiss and def leopard

    1. Saw the show last night in St. Louis, it was incredible, both bands were amazing, professional and tight. Paul sounded just fine and for the record Tommy did a great job, he did NOT act like ace, or mimic his movements, he didnt even do a solo, he did a really great job. WOW. What a show!!!!! Oh, and it was packed, 18,000

    2. I saw a recent clip of Paul singing Hide your Heart on the tour and his voice was still cracking. If they’re gonna play 80’s songs on their newer tours I don’t know why on earth they’d pick a song like that, it doesn’t fit the makeup at all. I think they’re totally out of touch when it comes to their decision making, even their newer costumes are a total mess…no new ideas, just old ideas from different eras thrown together with no rhyme or reason.

    3. And I’m sure you’re super successful and perfect. You’re no better than the critics who said that the make-up had nothing to do with music in the first place. To each their own, my friend, who went with me loved the addition of hide your heart (I thought it was fun), he wished out loud that they would’ve done tears are fallin. I saw Priest on their greatest hits EPITAPH tour, but they didn’t play the song Epitaph! The audience loved hide your heart and sang along with it. In total 100% sincerity I believe it was one of the best Kiss shows I’ve ever seen and my first show was the Kiss Alive 2 tour Jan 27 ’77. After the drama this year I decided to skip this tour but at the last minute my friends comped me a ticket and insisted I go and man I’m glad I did. Just youtube the St. Louis show. The proof is there. And as far as Pauls voice goes, he’s in his sixties and has had surgery. From Halford to David lee roth, the all are doing the best they can. And if Ace can take the high road and say paul no longer can sing then I can say he better lay off the sweets. Did you see him on Fallon!!???

    4. Did you mean January ’78? Jan ’77 was the Rock and Roll Over tour. If you saw Alive II tour you’re lucky as hell, that was always my dream to see that show but unfortunately I was in diapers at the time. My first KISS show was the Hot In The Shade tour when I was 13, so in my mind when I think of Hide your Heart I think of the nonmakeup years – mixing it with the makeup just seems odd. There were better choices from the 80’s I think.

  4. Damn. Would like to meet you Ed. I’ll be at the Purple show in Orlando on Saturday. If only I had known I would have bought the ticket for the South FL show instead. Hope to catch you next time you come to FL.
