Back from another great trip to Tulsa where I hosted Dokken at IDL Ballroom. Had Mick and Don on my Volume show from the Hard Rock on Friday. Really fun chat. Hear it now On Demand on the SiriusXM app. I’ll post it as my podcast soon also. Podcast this week will be my recent newsmaking interview with Stephen Pearcy discussing the latest with Ratt. That goes up Thursday free on Itunes or www.podcastone.com . Back in Tulsa at IDL 7/28 for a FREE show with Beasto Blanco.

Had The Struts in studio for the Volume show yesterday. Appreciate those guys coming by before playing MSG with the Foo Fighters. As I see it we have 3 bands that could break huge and bring rock truly back; The Struts, Greta Van Fleet and Ghost. I’m rooting for them all, but so far The Struts are my favorite. This interview is also now On demand on the SiriusXM app and will be a podcast down the line.

I’ll be answering emails on my SiriusXM Volume show this Friday on air. Ask me anything by email [email protected] . Name and where you are from and “TrunkNation Mailbag” in the subject. Listen Friday 2-4P & 9-11P to see if your email makes it.

Big news about a monthly LA event very soon..

TrunkFest episode 4 is this Sunday 9:30P ET / 6:30 Pacific on AXS TV. The most metal episode of the season this week from Louder Than Life with Rob Zombie and John 5. Please watch and DVR! If you missed last Sunday’s show from Castaway with Zac Brown Band and Blackberry Smoke that replays on AXS TV this Thursday 8:30P ET.

  1. Eddie, thx for mentioning Ghost as one of the three acts you’ve mentioned that could bring back rock. My favorite newer band.

We are in Maui right now as I type this, and Greta Van Fleet are actually scheduled to perform here next month, bringing rock to the islands! We might have to visit the Rock & Brews in Paia to continue the rock spirit!
