Missed the Golden Gods Awards and want to check it out? Was just sent the replay schedule by VH1 Classic. Please note the show is also airing on Palladia in HD if you have that channel. Was fun to co-host this show with Don & Jim but please understand it was not my event, I did not produce it, and had nothing to do with the decisions made in it, thanks! All times EST:

that was the first golden gods show that ive watched since its inception a few years ago. not very impressed. i was expecting more. it seemed kind of cheesy. zakk singing that song was brutal. i was cringing listening to it. but like everyone else said, joan jett was definitely the star of the show. on a side note, eddie do you have any plans to come south of the mason dixon line? there’s lots of folks here in virginia that would love to see you. i know you go down to the hard rock in ft.lauderdale but thats a little far for me to travel-lol..
Um you guys know that the catagories are voted online by fans right? Any of us can go on and cast our ballots (and should).
And seriously… You don’t know what a Golden God is or who that refers to??? Wow… You guys need to do some research. There’s a very good reason they chose that name (actually I believe Metal Hammer in England originated an awards show called GG).
Metal Hammer- A much better mag than Revolver!
Eddie…are you excited for the upcoming Steel Panther/Priest tour?
I loved the Golden Gods though I agree some of the choices for awards were, well, odd. Two things I really wish I hadn’t noticed: Slayer did not sound as tight without Dave Lombardo. Always good to see them, but there was a definite dropoff. Also, Axl could not hit the high, nor even some of the lower notes. He had no air capacity and was out of breath until he was sitting and then seemed only slightly better. Very sad to me. My 11 yr old noticed this as I’ve shown him previous times when Axl was doing better. Not good when even a kid is hearing a large difference. Hope it was just an off night.
Only saw two songs from GNR … and I see that Axl has taken the “speak it don’t sing it” approach now.
Band seemed to be phoning in the whole thing, pretty rough. Guess I need to catch the J Jett performance then?
