Just back from the Prog cruise Cruise To The Edge for my 3rd year in a row. If you listen to my daily SiriusXM show hopefully you heard the broadcasts. Had many great guests including Steve Howe, Alan White and Billy Sherwood of Yes, Michael Sadler of Saga, Tony MacAlpine, Mike Portnoy, Steve Hackett, Steve Morse, Jordan Rudess, John Lodge and Lonn Friend and Roie Avin from Prog Report. All interviews now On Demand on the SiriusXM app. Thanks to all. I would never say I am a huge Prog fan or expert by any measure, but I respect the music and love to learn and cover this world for the 4-5 days I do it on this great cruise. Like metal fans, Prog fans super passionate about their music and feel it should be better covered, and I’m glad I can provide a national radio platform to during these cruises for the legends and newer artists as well. Really enjoyed Haken, Portnoy playing with Jordan Rudess, so many great moments. Thanks to all the artists and fans I met and had on my show, and Larry Morand and the whole On The Blue team for having me. Next cruise Monsters of Rock! This will be the 9th sailing and I’ve hosted every one. Obviously these artists and fans on this one are a direct hit to my world so it’s WAY more intense. But I look forward to it every year.
