Happy Veterans day and sincere thanks to all our veterans and all branches of our military for your service. True heroes! I hosted a fund raiser last night in NYC put together by an organization called Wall Street Rocks. My second year doing it and it was very well done and successful. They have raised over $350,000 so far for our nations heroes, and that doesn’t count last night. The event was at The Highline Ballroom in NYC (one of my favorite NYC venues) and featured many musical guests who turned in great performances. This was not a metal event but was a rock event and it was sold out with fans loving the music and the positive cause. I’ll post some photos on Facebook today. Great seeing Warren Haynes who played brilliantly. Something you may not know, I know Warren because he actually released a solo album in the early 90’s on Megaforce! Happy for all his success. Great guy and player. Also spent some time with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. Obviously a legend and the first time I spent some real time with him. He said ZZ were considered very heavy when they first started and would love to come on TMS. Hopefully we can make that happen. Cool meeting John Popper, Will Lee and catching up with my old friend Anton Fig who was the drummer for the night. Honored to have been a part of this and thanks to Wall Street Rocks for having me. Most of all thank you to our veterans on this day! For more info on Wall Street Rocks visit www.wallstreetrocks.org

Thanks for honoring the veterans Eddie and my sincere thank you as well to all who have served!
Agreed! God bless our military.
D 🙂
Was that Tales of Ordinary Madness? I bought that album in college and played it constantly in our room (compromise with non metal roommates). I just rediscovered it this summer. Played blue radio and fire in the kitchen while manning the bbq.
Warren is a great player. Heck, joe bonamassa covers his stuff in his just got paid finale so that’s a pretty good compliment.
And Of course. Thanks to all the vets.
Nice to know you dig Warren as well. Check out youtube for Govt Mule doing War Pigs and Dazed and Confused.
He’s doing an AC/DC set NYE with Myles Kennedy in NYC
Is that like an all star AC/DC tribute group getting together for one night? I just saw Myles with Slash, great vocals.
No it’s Gov’t Mule kicking ass and taking names!!
Eddie, Thanks for all the great work you do and keeping the metal fans informed. Dont trip on Ladds new show on VH1 in HD. We know it sucks you’ve been at it so long and are still stuck on that awful channel. Meanwhile Ladd just rolls in and gets it all right away. Hang in there big Eddie, someday you might be as big as the king of metal media Jim Ladd currently on Sirius XM channel 27 and coming in Jan. its Ladds Metal Shop on VH1 live every Sat nite. God Bless
Its just a shame that with all the benefits and money raised there are tens of thousands of homeless vets in the streets of America. Its great to say thanks and party with celebs but where does the fundraising really go?
I just saw the new AC/DC video for “Play Ball”. Not their best effort in a video (shot in front of a Green Screen) but nonetheless, I love the fact that my favorite band is still making music after all of these years. Still cracks me up to see Angus do his schoolboy at his age…I guess you either have it or you don’t to be able to pull it off (and he still can lol). Can’t wait for the upcoming tour, hopefully Phil will be there and man I wish Malcolm could have made it.
