“THE STADIUM TOUR” FEATURING DEF LEPPARD, MÖTLEY CRÜE, POSION AND JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS, HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL SUMMER 2021

The Stadium Tour, featuring Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Poison and Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, has been postponed.

Earlier today, the four bands issued the following joint statement,”We wanted to continue to communicate with our fans and update you with valid information as it becomes available. The official decision has been made to move all 2020 North American Stadium Tour dates into the summer of 2021. The new stadium dates are being rescheduled, your tickets will be honored for all postponed shows and refund policy information will be made available shortly. Stay tuned, be safe and we will see you next year.”

The Stadium Tour was scheduled to begin three weeks, on June 18 at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida.

As of January 30th, The Stadium Tour had already grossed $130 million from one million tickets sold, plus another $5 million worth of VIP seats, according to Billboard.

  1. Finally an official announcement on something governments have already been telling us…..I thinkg it’s terrible how “last minute” this official announcement was in coming…and even more terrible that refund policy information isn’t even announced yet…

This Crue tour was announced partly cuz of euphoria of “The Dirt” movie. We’ll see if people still care about Crue a year from now, and I am concerned about Mick’s health a year from now….

    1. Mikey, I’m guessing a lot of the cash from ticket sales has been spent on up front costs so there’s not enough money available for refunds…..perhaps insurance wasn’t enough to financially address all matters…..

  2. Kinda knew this was going up. Was listening to Eddie’s show today and he mentioned that you’re pissed Dana, and you should be, stadium tours nowadays cost a lot of money. Not like the old days in 80s. Don’t remember how much my Monsters of Rock tickets cost back then but probably triple or quadruple that price now. It disgusting what their doing. One of reason why I haven’t gone to concerts is they are way too expensive, and also when one comes around that I to see it clashes with my family vacation. Eddie also mentioned vintage vinyl being closed but they opened curd side only was gonna get the new Vandenberg CD, but buy time I had time sold out.

    1. Did he? What did he say? We have been emailing back and forth over the past six weeks, as I have been very frustrated that they did not cancel this tour earlier. Seems like the promoters are being very unprofessional and greedy. So therefore, I am undecided if we will go to the forthcoming announced rescheduled date or just take the refund. Again, I am kind of angry at how this situated handled, so I am not sure…

    2. Charles, I pre-ordered the Vandenberg CD from a record store and it hasn’t shipped yet.
I’ve noticed a trend of late where CDs are sold out quickly. It seems like they underestimate demand.

    3. i went to monsters of rock at the meadowlands when it was on the sunday. (van halen ,scorpions, dokken, metallica, kingdome come) i bet the tickets were no more than 20.00 each for the back of the stadium being in 1988 i was 20 years old, barely any money to my name, and i needed a ticket for the gf,now wife too….drove there from canarsie bklyn to there ,gas money, plus i bet the parking was a load cheaper back then too……… if you were at the jersey m.o.r. sunday show, you should remember these thing: some woman being cheered on to flash her chest (she did after a while) , it was frigging hot, they played the same songs between sets (queensryche, aerosmith, and a band that didnt make it american angel) and it seemed that when metallica played, ppl left the arena,(and they were 2nd billing!)

    4. I was at Monsters of Rock in Jersey, I don’t remember it being a Sunday? However, I do remember it was a very hot day, and we left after the Scorpions.

    5. dana it was a sunday,,i had to borrow my parents car to drive there…or no way could i have got there

    6. dana , my last question on this …….you left before van halen went on? were you in the back of the
stadium when the massive food fight happened? there was also 1 cpl having sex behind us when we sneaked down to the lower level…………stay safe.

    7. No, I must have missed all of that-LOL!! Maybe it’s a blessing, I would been pretty mad if I got pelted with food.

I believe I posted this before, but back then, my girlfriend and I were not into the Scorpions (I am still not) and did not care for Van Hagar. We were with our boyfriends at the time, so we all agreed they would see the Scorps and then we would get out of dodge.

      D 🙂

  3. sucks for me,i agree with dana, but im screwed i bought my tickets through stub hub,and they have said no refunds period! they said if you dont want to go when it does resume, they will give you a credit for the tickets to be used for another show with in a year.WTF.how does that help.i have 4 tickets tied up in that like 1700.00 there is no one else around that i want to spend that kinda dough on,and i agree is mars even going to be able to play next year let alone stand up the poor guy.urrrghhhhhh

    1. Jeff,

That is terrible, I am so sorry. I believe my friend ordered ours through Live Nation, so we might be eligible for the full refund.

      D 🙂

    2. Jeff,

That does suck. If I go to a concert, I steer as far away as I can from stub hub scalpers.

You make a good point, Mars might not be able to play, anymore. The line up, might not be the same if I go. I would’ve gone to see Leppard, Jett and Poison. I saw Crüe during the Dr Feelgood tour. I would only pay the ticket price they charge now if I really want to see them or never had.

Oh Dana, Eddie said you’re pissed on how Live Nation was handling it.

  4. Mikeyman,

I only had that problem with the last Metallica album. When, I usually go now the place has a site to order, or call and order. When I last checked the day, they only had a box cd set and vinyl. But then I checked the next day and they only had vinyl, so I broke down and downloaded. Now, it looks like next week in Jersey they might be able to allow the shop to open at limited capacity. My next CD will be the new Lamb of God, that I’ll definitely get in physical form.
