When I was 15 , I was listening to the Beatles , and the stones, mostly , then I went on vacation with my dad and brother ,I had just turned 16 , and my brother and I kind of walked into a college party on the beach , big speakers lots of beer older kids 17 to 20 – and suddenly immigrint song came over those huge pa speakers ! Then priest, then sabbath etc… enough said I searched out those bands when I got home at my local record store and was forever hooked !
Robert, my Top 10 is on the other page < if you're interested.
I love that Halford places a Slayer song above a Meh-tallica song. Slayer’s first couple albums were heavily inspired by Priest, Kerry King’s favorite band, before Slayer finally found their “sound”.
I place the entire Slayer catalog well above Meh-tallica’s…..
Doug, love your list !
Thank you! 🙂
