foofighters640 On October 14th, Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters began a weeklong residency at the Late Show With David Letterman. Last night, they were joined by Zac Brown for a cover of Black Sabbath’s War Pigs. Watch the performance below.

The band residency with Letterman is to promote their upcoming “love letter to the history of American music,” Sonic Highways, which will be released on November 10th.

In Black Sabbath news, singer Ozzy Osbourne announced back in September that the band will began working on its final album in early 2015.

  1. I actually think the talent is so overrated. If he wasn’t in nirvana it wouldn’t have gone anywhere. In fact, nirvana was actually more overrated and worse than the foo fighters. But if you like easy guitar playing and screaming, It’s perfect

    1. I totally agree. This guy, this band and the one he was in before have ranged from awful when it comes to Nirvana to mediocre at best when it comes to FF. I understand the guy is a huge music fan but that in no way means that every nugget that falls out of his ass is made of gold.

  2. From what I heard of it, it’s the worst version of War Pigs I’ve ever heard! That dork Zac Brown, who’s a country singer, doesn’t even know the words! Dave Grohl wasn’t much better and I stopped listening at “treating people just like pawns in chess”. So I don’t know what happened after that and I don’t want to know.

  3. I have never been a fan of The Foo Fighters, but I give them credit for being one of the few rock bands that is still relevant and popular with todays generation.

  4. Well, everyone is welcome to their opinion, but I do like the Foo Fighters in general. Sure they’ve got some weak songs, but they’ve got some really good ones too. And I am a huge classic metal fan, so don’t give me any crap about not knowing what “good” music is. I’m a guitar player too, and no – there’s no “virtuoso” guitar playing in Foo Fighters but who cares? Long ago I learned if something sounds good, it is – regardless of whether it’s an acoustic guitar playing two chords all the way up to a full orchestra. AC/DC isn’t exactly on par with Dream Theater either, and people here don’t knock them for simplicity – it’s still good rock n’ roll.
