Thank you Dana for pointing out what should have been obvious to our friend James.
BTW, I love the Cult!
Busted…..I took the bait and lost a gasket after the 8th “blah”…….
James
James, I respect a guy who can take his lumps and own it. We’ll done Sir.
For someone who “lost a gasket” you handled it with a lot more humor than some of the rage addicts on here, and believe me I’ve had my share of missing the sarcasm cue!! Stay Frosty 🙂
Which persona? Will they be imitating Bauhaus, The Doors, AC/DC, Whitesnake, The Doors, NIN, AC/DC, The Doors or doing that Cure meets Boston thing?
Would you prefer that all the albums sound the same? I admit that what you say true and pretty right on comparisons too but its better than the same thing over and over.
Why does a band need one persona? That’s awfully boring for an artist. It’s also why The Cult is one of the few true rock bands that came out of the 80’s. Break the rules, make some more, and break those. I don’t know about some of you, but I don’t like my artists packaged up in tidy box with a bow on it to make me feel better.
Probably Doors meet strong U2.
They’ve always been a great band. They had their moment in the spotlight in the 80’s, particularly with Sonic Temple. But even though that moment has come and gone they are still a great band. Ironically, they’re actually a “cult” band now. I wish they would play in my town Waco, Texas, or at least Dallas or Austin this summer. Hell, my birthday is August 20th (same as Dimebag’s), so they can play my birthday party if they want even though it’d be in a backyard full of drunk, long haired rednecks and I’d have to pay them with bbq and beer.
Hey James,
I am the 22nd (along with Eddie’s son), Eddie is the 8th. and although he isn’t born in August, John Sykes is July 29th. Long live Leo’s.

Are you one as well James? 😉
