SCORPIONS RELEASE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE, “PEACEMAKER,” NEW ALBUM “ROCK BELIEVER” OUT FEBRUARY 25TH

Scorpions have released the official music video for their new single, Peacemaker (see below), which will be on their forthcoming new album, Rock Believer, out February 25th, 2022

Singer Klaus Meine commented, “The first thing that came to my mind was the hook line ‘Peacemaker, peacemaker / Bury the undertaker.’ I was just playing around with those words. At a time when so many people have died and are still dying of COVID, from devastating wars and other senseless crimes, it makes you feel that the undertaker must be working overtime. In a peaceful world after the pandemic, it will be time for the peacemaker to rule… that’s an image that really appeals to me.”

“The album was written and recorded in the Scorpions DNA with core [guitarist Rudolph] Schenker/Meine compositions,” said Meine. “We recorded the album as a band live in one room, like we did in the ’80s.”

The new album will mark their first release since 2017’s Born To Touch Your Feelings – Best Of Rock Ballads, which was an anthology of new and classic material.

  1. Mathias I almost consider an original member I believe he joined right after tokyo tapes live album was released ,and uli roth left , the song is decent not great but better than most new music coming out from classic era hard rock bands – I’m pretty sure they still tour , and are a proper band – Klaus still has his voice pretty much intact he’s got to be pushing 70 maybe a bit older not really sure but still sounds like himself still has power and great tone ~

    1. Robert, I agree with you about Mathias. Scott Travis has been Priest’s drummer since Painkiller came out in 1990, over 30 years ago! Yet you ask someone in particular, you’ll always get the “only two original members remain” rhetoric. That’s the point I was trying to emphasize.

  2. I was listening to Animal Magnetism the other week on repeat. It seems that record is sort of swept under the rug compared with their other classics. It has many great track on it though. Only A Man is awesome and Herman Rarebell says they never performed it live!

  3. I think original members are important , if your touring as ..say foreigner and there are no original members … you should be billed as some type of foreigner tribute , you can gloss it up anyway you want but it’s still not foreigner, shame on trying to fool or mislead people ~

  4. I really like this! Klaus’s voice sounds great! Its a stronger song than anything on their last 2 efforts. I am curious to hear what the rest of this release has on it.
