RICHIE KOTZEN RELEASES VIDEO FOR “END OF EARTH”, ANNOUNCES TOUR DATES
Richie Kotzen has released a video for the song, End Of Earth, his upcoming album, Salting Earth, which will be released on April 21st on Kotzen’s own Headroom-Inc label. Watch it below.
The album will feature the tune Grammy, which can be heard here. Kotzen describes the record as “one-man production” with added background vocals on the song, Make It Easy, provided by Julia Lage.
Kotzen said, “It’s really not deliberate when the record is finished and suddenly I’m the only performer on it. It actually comes out of my process of writing and documenting my ideas.
It started back in the late 80s when I had a makeshift studio in my parents’ barn. I grew up fairly isolated, and I soon realised in order to get this music out of my head and on to a format where I could listen to it, I’d have to figure out how to do it alone.”
Kotzen will head out on tour from April in support of Salting Earth and will play shows in the US, South America and Europe.

Ritchie K. is a truly epic musician! I was first exposed to him when he was in POISON, and I thought his playing was awesome on that record. But in WINERY DOGS, the guy just blows me away! I heard “End of Earth” on Eddie’s Sirius show, and it is a really cool tune. Ritchie sings and plays all of the instruments on it! The guy is supremely talented, and I will definitely be getting this record when it is released.
I know, I have been missing out, I never heard of Ritchie Kotzen until, The Winery Dogs and TMS. He is a true talent which I am glad to have found out about. I know his guitar work is fantastic, but the rest of the playing on this song, especially the bass, kicks butt! Does anyone else feel, that he kind of sounds like Chris Cornell? Not a bad thing, I love Chris’s voice too. I am looking forward to this release.
Get, Go Faster, GREAT record. But, most of his early solo work, is really good.
Dana, Thanks for the recommendation. Go Faster is a great album. It is a shame to be that there are so many great musicians and bands out there not getting their dues because how the music industry is today. One of my favorite new bands in recent years, Gemini Syndrome, has grown a steady following but deserve more, in my own opinion.
I couldn’t agree more, as everyone here knows, that is how I feel about John Sykes. 😉
Also, thank you for the tip about Gemini Syndrome, I will have to check them out.
All my best,
