Raven will release its new album, ExtermiNation, in Scandinavia on April 22nd, in Germany on April 24th, in the rest of Europe on April 27th and in North America on April 28th through SPV/Steamhammer. It will be made available as a digipak version (including one bonus track), 2LP gatefold green vinyl version and as a digital download.
ExtermiNation combines the melody/chaos/musicianship/lunacy that defines the band with songs that are simply the best they have done in decades. Rivaling the “holy trinity” of those early albums, and again working with the engineering metal mastermind who is Kevin 131 (Walk Through Fire) – the band have taken their game to the next level..this may well be their 41st anniversary but these guys are only just getting started.
In commemoration of Bon Scott`s death 35 years ago today, Raven release a snippet of their new song Thunder Down Under. You can listen to the snippet here.

Will never forget Bon Scott, never! Ride On.
Bon Scott: A true rock and roller. Never forget the Problem Child!
Hard to believe Bon’s been gone 35 years! One of a kind and there’ll never be anyone like him. A true legend among legends.
The only Raven album I still have is ROCK UNTIL YOU DROP but the album is cracked and unplayable. I don’t know why I’ve kept it all these decades and never bought a new copy.
Eddie, I know Raven probably aren’t considered a ‘big’ enough band to be on TMS, but John and Mark Gallagher would make excellent guests. I saw them back in November at a bar in Syracuse and after the show they came out and signed autographs and talked to people who hung out after the show. The Gallagher boys are so humble and down to earth, especially John. My friend and I sat there and talked to him for about a half an hour. He’s such a cool guy, I mean it was like talking to a friend you’ve known for thirty years. We could have talked all night but we started to feel bad for the other people waiting to talk to him. Just great guys and it would be a real treat to have them on the show.
I still remember the day I heard Bon died. My buddy Chuck and I were listening to 94 Rock in his bedroom and they were playing AC/DC tune after AC/DC tune, and we were thinking hey, what is it AC/DC hour or something. Then after about the third song the DJ said, were continuing with our tribute to Bon Scott who died yesterday of alcohol poisoning. We were completely shocked, didn’t know what to do or say, saddest day of my life, until March 20th 1982, the day I read in the newspaper that Randy Rhoads died.
