I think it might have been a door poster of Jon Bon Jovi?
However, long before the official posters were acquired, I already had pages from magazines, taped to my walls.
Back in the day, many magazines had official pictures, that were meant to be “ripped out” and displayed. So, going on that premise, I think a picture of Vince Neil, from the Shout At Devil, might have been the first.
Of course, I still had some of my tween, and teen pictures up from magazines such as 16 . So, technically my real first poster, was of actor C. Thomas Howell (who played Ponyboy in The Outsiders). I loved him-LOL!
Just for giggles, let me see if I can find it….found it. OMG, memories.

Never had a Rock poster, Dallas Cowboy’s Cheerleaders was the only poster I had.
I did have a Bad Company 12-inch mirror, the one’s you won at the carnival.
I used to have a Van Halen mirror with the VH logo on it, but I can’t remember where I got it from
My high school friends once “silk screened” the band Tank’s first album cover on a mirror….and then used that same mirror for their filthy cocaine habits. I would just sit back and listen to the Tank album, or whatever else was on the turntable, while they snorted away…..
I have a Kiss poster in my bedroom just got it last year from the Kiss website I love it so much I will keep up forever and ever until I die LOL rock on forever!
I moved my bedroom from upstairs to downstairs when I lived at home. I went out and bought a ton of posters at one time that covered the walls and ceiling. I’m not sure anymore which one rung up first. That was in 1983.
It’s okay, name your favorite then.
Christina was a babe back in the day – now going thru some heavy medical drama.
Never had the girly posters up – if I did, probably would have been the Farah Fawcett one. Or the Cheryl Ladd
First celebrity poster was the iconic Farrah Fawcett poster September 1976. Couple of years later my local record store had a heavy duty cardboard poster promoting the ‘Point of Know Return’ Kansas album. They gave it to me one day when I was in there. It immediately went up on my wall.
