I think it might have been a door poster of Jon Bon Jovi?
However, long before the official posters were acquired, I already had pages from magazines, taped to my walls.
Back in the day, many magazines had official pictures, that were meant to be “ripped out” and displayed. So, going on that premise, I think a picture of Vince Neil, from the Shout At Devil, might have been the first.
Of course, I still had some of my tween, and teen pictures up from magazines such as 16 . So, technically my real first poster, was of actor C. Thomas Howell (who played Ponyboy in The Outsiders). I loved him-LOL!
Just for giggles, let me see if I can find it….found it. OMG, memories.

Also……question of the week suggestion: Where was your favorite/first record store……name it…….is it still there ??
Thank you for the idea.
I was about 15 years old (I’m 57 now) I bought at Spencer Gifts a 3×5 poster of Judas Priest. Their logo & the album cover photo of Unleashed In The East was surrounded by other live concert photos. In turn I surrounded that poster with rip out photos from Circus & Hit Parader of the band till I literally had a “Wall of Priest”
Eddie VH– Had to be 82 or so, the one where he was wearing the striped jumpsuit that matched his guitar. Dang I wish I had framed those posters..
In 1976 I was 7. My parents got me a $5 membership to the Kiss Army fan club. Like many others, I received next to nothing. In the barely there package was a foil KISS Destroyer poster. That was my first on my wall. I kept it up through 2 moves and 25 years until it literally disintegrated in my hands. Great question!
