Ray Charles singing ‘America’ always puts a lump in my throat. As a veteran/retired………the Armed Forces Medley is always very stirring. Members of each military branch present (Army/Navy/Coast Guard/Marines/Air Force) rise to their feet when their own branch tune is played.

Well the obvious choice would be something from The Black Crowes…..well, on second thought, I’ll go with “Don’t Tread On Me” by both Metallica & Damn Yankees. Also Hendrix’s version of the National Anthem at Woodstock. Non-rock I’m going with Carrie Underwood sing the National Anthem.
