QUESTION OF THE WEEK: AS WE SHORTLY LEAVE 2025, WHAT MUSIC RELEASES OR TOURS ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2026?

  1. HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL!!!!

For me it would have been Def Leppard and Metallica in London all within a few days of each other this coming July.

    However…..

Seeing that I would have had to purchase two tickets per show, (1 night for Leppard 2 nights for Metallica) and said tickets were going to cost me a combined total of over £1,800 (Currently $2,424.96US) I turned the chance down.

I don’t have money worries – but I have to be realistic and there is no way on earth I’m paying that sort of money for a concert ticket(s); no matter how much I want to go or how much I like somebody.

I just wish people would do what Eddie himself has said many times on his shows to people who complain to him about the price of concert tickets:

“Don’t go – Stop paying it and everything will change.”

My last Metal gig was two nights at the o2 in London seeing Black Sabbath on ‘The End’ tour in 2017. Tickets were £75 each, so four tickets cost me £300 plus booking. One ticket for Def Leppard at the same venue this year was £300. The last ever concert I saw was Jeff Lynne’s ELO at Wembley Stadium also in 2017. Three tickets at £100 each = £300 – the same as one for Leppard this year.

    Absolute f*****g madness!!

Both my brothers are traveling to Montreal this September to see Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson perform the songs of Rush. What they have paid in total for tickets and airfare, plus a week’s hotel stay – works out cheaper than what I quoted for the two concerts I would have gone to here in England!!

    Again: Absolute f*****g madness!!

  2. Evanescence whom I’ve never seen.
Triumph… although I’m not happy about Mike not playing all show. Yes I know he’s not in the best of health. That doesn’t ease the pain of me possibly not seeing him and a band I’ve never seen. I’m driving 11 hours to San Antonio in hopes to see him there. Triumph and TX have a bond.
Los Angeles Azulez. It willl be my first “Mexican” concert and a legendary band to boot.
Shaun Cassidy but he cancelled 1 show and it was mine in Albuquerque, NM.
Rush… although I have to wait till December.
