The bands are fired up to make the journey across the U.S. together. Bret Michaels, Poison lead singer and noted philanthropist says, “The all original Poison is headlining again this summer. It’s going to be a mega concert and party combined. We will be playing all the hits and bringing high energy rock and roll good times. I promise this will be awesome. My friends Cheap Trick and Pop Evil will be joining us as well as some special guests on select dates. Again, I know all the bands with all the hits will be giving 1000%. Over the last years, Poison has got to co-headline with some great bands: Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Kiss, Lynyrd Skynyrd, to name a few, but I promise again, C.C., Bobby, Rikki and myself together will bring Nothing But A Good Time!”

“Poison is a just great American Rock and Roll Band,” declares Bob Roux, President of U.S. Concerts, Live Nation. “Along with Cheap Trick, this show is going to be Nothing But A Good Time – The Full Tilt Party of the Summer. Poison and Cheap Trick always deliver the goods.”

Rick Nielsen, Cheap Trick(lead guitar) proclaims, “Another Poison/Cheap Trick Tour!!! It’s always been FUN with these guys!”

While Pop Evil singer Leigh Kakaty concludes, “This summer is going to be an exciting one for Pop Evil, that’s for sure! What a fantastic opportunity to bring our live show across the country on the big stage with such legends like Poison and Cheap Trick.”

I hope they “Ride The Wind” down here to Florida!

Did you move to Florida? I thought that you lived in Brooklyn. If you did move to Florida from Brooklyn then good for you because this is the nastiest worst winter in the history of mankind. Theres ice and filth and it’s like – 5 all the time. So you know what, good for you. Enjoy the Sunshine State. The toll collectors wear nice shirts in that state, not quite a twisted sister with Dio on the back but still pretty good. Not to reprise the unpleasant past but the artist formerly known as MILK MONEY does in fact live in Tampa and is one of the numerous Hulk Hogan impersonators that they have in that area. I wish there were a market for Ted Kennedy look a likes but nothing so far. Oh well.

Almost 2 years ago already. Love central FL, in the middle of everything! Tuesday I’m at the HRHC in the good Hollywood to see Bad Company! Hey, what can I say? I “Live For The Music!” 😉 I was just up in NY for Christmas/New Year’s and the NHL Winter Classic. It was nice to be back in the “New York Groove” with Ace, even though I froze my ass off! Just 1 of many reasons why I moved to Florida! Next Sunday, Daytona for the 500!
Hulk Hogan? LOL!!! Have a good one, brother, rock on, paisan! Cheers!!

Lita punched Bret because she was jealous of his hair! LOL!!!

I’m sure Bret saw the irony in a two-hit wonder making fun of his band.

Please tell me Poison is opening for Cheap Trick.

At this stage of the game both of those artists have to leave their egos behind. Poison may be the headliner simply because their greater success was more recent. Poison was more successful in the late 80s whereas cheap trick had greater success in the late 70s and early 80s.. regardless of opening acts and Headliners, it’s still a great night of music. I’ve seen treat Cheap Trick 4 times and all 4 were as an opening act. So Cheap Trick is a great opening act. There’s nothing wrong with that. Maybe Jimmy Page can steal a riff from them? It worked out fairly well the first time. Do you think there’s some nut out there that won’t go to something like this because they’re insulted that Cheap Trick has to open for Poison? Do they still make the Rock t-shirts where the opening act goes on the back of the shirt and the headliner is on the front? I haven’t seen one of those in a while. How about poison opens the show but they go in the back of the T-shirt? Is that fair? Does anybody remember the great Dio being on the back of a Twisted Sister t-shirt? The stay hungry tour. Twisted Sister was always great especially around this time but Dio is arguably the best ever. Needless to say I’ll near one of the venues and I’m definitely going to check it out.

Agree on Poison not putting out anything in like forever. At least Cheap Trick and Pop Evil are doing their part!
