Tents were erected on the 250-acre grounds of the house Ozzy and Sharon bought in 1993, along with a stage where tributes were paid to the rocker.

The home was decorated with pictures of Ozzy, and mourners were given a photograph of him to take home.

  1. I don’t understand why we have to see Ozzy inebriated in these documentaries, or why they have to discuss the stupid things he did when he was high….I see someone in a lot of pain..it’s not funny, and I also don’t need to hear about it or see it…why his own family decided to publish all of that is disheartening to me….I don’t need to know someone’s messed up psyche….just because they’re famous I am supposed to care? so he wasn’t perfect, is that the point? I also don’t really see being drunk as some serious character flaw like some people, and his kids, evidently….I would take that over …never mind…

    1. My best guess, it was the family’s attempt at explaining and demystifying, while being facetious, regarding his odd behavior and body shakes. As, for decades, his temperament was always maligned, and demonized, in the press.

Along with their usual salacious, and sensational, reporting about Ozzy being Satanic, abusive there killing cats, eating bats, there were flat out fallacies, such as, asking his fans to bring animals to his show, so he could sacrifice them on stage, etc.

They were trying to humanize him, along with showing how destructive using substances can be, on a person. Of course, the additional financial windfall, and fame, was also seductive.

  2. I watched Jack’s movie about him…I get that Ozzy’s behavior is out of control even for rock and roll standards…but I guess my issue is having to hear/see the details….and it’s rooted in pain…being Ozzy all the time wore him out, So Tired …no kidding…imagine having to be on like that all the time…I appreciate your comment.

    1. Never saw it, so it is difficult for me to comment. But, I am fairly certain, based on their relationship, Ozzy gave his son approval, before he let him release it.

If there was footage, you found painful, and uncomfortable to watch, Ozzy most likely approved it. I know he was always honest about his substance abuse issues, which heavily effected, his behavior. He was always, a pretty open book. So, I am sure, he felt it was important to share his struggles, in the hopes, it would help others, in the same situation.
