METALLICA TO HEADLINE SECOND NIGHT OF “ATLive” FESTIVAL ON NOVEMBER 6TH, TICKETS ONSALE JULY 16TH
Metallica will headline the second night of ATLive at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 6th.
Says the band, “We’re honored to be part of the second annual ATLive two-day festival — featuring two unique, separately ticketed events — this fall when we’ll be hitting the stage with our friends Cage The Elephant and Get Van Fleet. Night one features country music’s finest with George Strait, Eric Church and Caitlyn Smith kicking off the weekend.
Presented by AMB Sports and Entertainment, the organization will generously be donating a portion of the proceeds from ATLive to All Within My Hands to help our foundation further its work in the fight against hunger.”
Tickets for each night will go on sale July 16th at 10 a.m. EDT via Ticketmaster. The Metallica fan club presale starts July 9th at 10 a.m. EDT, with a special two-hour window for Legacy Members, and at 12 p.m. EDT for all Fifth Members.
The second annual ATLive will feature iconic artists from both country and rock on back-to-back nights.

Robert, I thought the same thing. I don’t know how bands are assembled for these types of shows, but I would imagine a band with the clout of Metallica can exercise some influence in selection. Metallica has such a draw that they could perform with any turd band and still sell stadiums out. Metallica simply selected this, IMO, GVF turd band.

I can’t tell if the musicianship is any good, they don’t play anything, even somewhat, original. They are an overrated Zeppelin tribute band.
I would’ve liked to have seen Code Orange on this bill…they are a better match for Metallica than GVF or CTE..they are a band who are doing everything they can to sound fresh…I give them more credit notwithstanding that sometimes it grates on me…but, that was the perception of Metallica when they first started too…This bill has Lars’s need to be accepted…to get in to the Country Club written all over it…lol…he needs to be one of the “beautiful people.”
I said this before…you have to start somewhere…and they are doing things like putting notes on the upbeat that normally go on the downbeat…I can tell they’re doing the work…so I give them credit for that…
