JUDAS PRIEST FAILS TO MAKE INDUCTION FOR THE 2020 CLASS OF THE ROCK N’ ROLL HALL OF FAME, GUITARIST RICHIE FAULKNER TWEETS, “THE ROCK HALL HOLDS NO CREDIBILITY FOR ME AND NEVER HAS”

It has been reported that Judas Priest has been passed over, once again, for induction into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame. The band were on the ballot for induction this year, but failed to receive enough votes to make the class of 2020.

In light of the latest snub, guitarist Richie Faulkner tweeted back to a fan who wrote. “WAIT. Depeche Mode, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails and Biggie Smalls BEFORE @judaspriest in #RockHall2020? How do I explain this to my child if I don’t understand it? #MetalForever #HeavyMetal” Then Richie replied, “Doesn’t make sense does it kenny? Hence why the rock hall holds no credibility for me and never has RHRF DOTF”

He continued in a separate tweet, “I’ve said it before but 50 years in and still making music, touring the globe to the best fans in the world is the biggest accolade I can think of. These institutions are founded on what these guys helped create and to not be included is a total joke. I have spoken haha”

He added, “If you wanna call it the ROCK hall, then you should START with a healthy foundation of ROCK (in all its forms) to build on. The founding brothers and sisters that created and developed our beloved style of music and aided it’s evolution. Otherwise, what does it mean?”

Even though artists are eligible for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album or single, iconic hard rock and metal bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, have yet to be recognized by the institution, whom also dragged their heels when it came to inducting Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and KISS. Deep Purple’s induction was aided by Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, who voiced his disdain that Metallica got in before the band whom influenced them.

  1. Not only that, its BULL****. How can you induct Whitney Huston in a rock hall of fame before Pa Benatar? They must feel like they have to let in a rapper to satisfy people or to just piss off the metal community, and the only one to make it in on the fan ballot is Doobie brothers. Nine inch nails before Soundgarden??? The worst induction class ever! (and Dana I held back on the language).

    1. Although it would be great to a have Ricky Gervais-style broadside blast at the upcoming ceremony, the people who deserve a sound thrashing are pretty much faceless and will keep on doing what they’re doing. The way this whole thing is set up, no one can really do any more than what Steve Miller did a couple of years ago.

      At least Rush got in.

    2. Gervais would be a great host, but I don’t think the Rock Hall has the fortitude, nor the sense of humor, to open themselves up to be ripped apart.

As a matter of fact, Gervais has not been invited back to host the Golden Globes next year, either. I guess he hurt too many snowflakes’ feelings with the truth, mind you. The Globes have decided to go with the very vanilla, and safe, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler, lest God forbid, anyone get their wittle feelings hurt.

  2. I don’t mind some rappers being elected but I never thought Biggie was as good as others during his time. It’s like Poison being elected before Zeppelin. There is NO argument that anyone can make to say that Biggie has had more of an impact on music than Pat Benetar!? What a crappy class this year. I agree with Dana – I’m disgusted.

  3. Who the hell is Biggie Smalls?? Don’t tell me it’s another rapper! Are you kidding us?? No Judas Priest? Again? And what happened to Pat Benatar?? Shame on the so-called Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame!! They should be called the Rock And Roll Hall Of BULLS–T!!!

  4. All I got to say is that if priest ever does get in, it better be while Glenn is still alive because he is battling Parkinson’s disease! If they get in after Glenn dies I’m going to show up at the event and some heads are gonna roll!
