Legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses are set to split, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
The band, who first formed in Los Angeles in 1985 and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, will call it a day after their Las Vegas residency wraps up June 7th.
“Band members have been told their calendars are free following Vegas,” a source close to the band tells RadarOnline. “Axl (Rose) is considering retiring and it’s done. Band members and support staff were surprised when told the news and are actively looking for work.”
Front man Rose, 52, is the only remaining member of the original band with lead guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, drummer Steven Adler and rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin having all left the band over the years.
“Axl has made enough money and wants to stop touring,” adds another source. “He is considering retiring.”
Along with Rose the current members are bass player Tommy Stinson, Dizzy Read on keyboards and percussion, lead guitarist DJ Ashba, Frank Ferrer on drums, Chris Pitman on keyboards and rhythm guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal.
The band begin their residency May 21st playing nine dates at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Just upselling their Vegas return in october. “Okay, we’ll come back for more loot”…then the Rose Bowl offers from Live Nation for the ’87 line-up.

Probably a good move being that he’s not able to maintain his vocal prowess of the 80’s thru mid 90’s.
Saw them once on the first date of the infamous Metallica/GnR tour in RFK, DC. Incredible show and his voice was great.
I retired them to myself when Slash was out…. Axl is nothing
Very well said Mike. He is nothing and who gives a shit. Hopefully the door will hit him like he hit women in the ass. Good riddance to the worst trash. Maybe he can sell the name to Slash, Duff and Izzy and we can see actual talent.
