Dio’s Finding The Sacred Heart – Live In Philly 1986 DVD will be released on May 28th through Eagle Vision.
Finding The Sacred Heart – Live In Philly 1986 was filmed at The Spectrum in Philadelphia on June 17th, 1986 during the second half of the Sacred Heart tour, which featured new guitarist Craig Goldy. The show was issued in an edited form first on VHS and then DVD. Now for the first time the full concert is being released in the original running order, restored from the original 16mm film and with remastered sound. It’s an extraordinary live show with a giant animatronic dragon towering over the stage and spectacular lasers and pyrotechnics. Ronnie James Dio is in fine voice as ever and the band deliver a blistering live performance featuring tracks from their first three albums alongside Black Sabbath and Rainbow classics.

This I cannot wait to get to finally have the whole show and not just a partial show. Plus with it being remastered it will look totally awesome on Blu-Ray! Dio in Digital is a plus for me!
I’ve been a fan of DIO’s since Rainbow, followed his incredible career ever since, and will definately add this to my collection!! \m/ Ronnie IS The voice of music forever.
Very cool. I went to that show my senior year in h.s.
will get this when it comes
I loved this show as I saw him 3 times on this tour with Vivian Cambell then Craig Goldie (my all time favorite guitarist) as well Yngwie J. Malmsteen was opening for them and this brings back fond memories every time I see it, but since it has been released on VHS then DVD and now like this, it would be worth it if there was things added to it that would make it a worth while purchase for me since I already have SACRED HEART dvd in my collection and it sounded like the interview they have put on this new product is the same one as before talking about the football filming company that did the filming of the concert as well as saying how the stage was designed along with the dragon.
I would love it if they would try and release the BLACK SABBATH LIVE EVIL video concert on DVD as I see some of it popping up on you tube here and there, now that would be fantastic to have as I would get that in a heart beat but anything that was done by Ronnie James Dio is going to be something to remember him by….R.I.P. RONNIE you’ll never be forgotten.
^Michael has some good points. Complete show is nice, but it sure would have been nice to have had that with the first DVD release. Bring on the DVD release of 1984’s “A Special From the Spectrum”…that’s the one that will get my hard-earned money at this point!
