SINGER BRET MICHAELS SAYS POISON WILL REUNITE “WITHOUT A DOUBT”

Singer Bret Michaels says Poison will reunite “without a doubt.”

The frontman – who tours regularly as a solo artist – has not played with Poison since 2012. Although, he hasn’t put a date on it, he insists the band will perform together again at some point.

He tells the Sun Herald, “When the time is right we will get back out there, without a doubt.”

The vocalist adds that he is always writing new music so is never short of material. He says, “I actually carry an awesome studio rig with me so I’m always in the studio. I’ve done work on the bus, plane, dressing rooms, hotel rooms. Whenever the moment hits, I’m able to capture the idea.”

Last year, Michaels hinted that Poison could play some shows in 2016 to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

4/8: HELLO FROM VEGAS AND GUNS N’ ROSES KICKOFF TONIGHT!

Greetings from Las Vegas. Here for the GnR debut tonight. Had a great dinner with Slash last night and a bunch of mutual friends at the Bootlegger. Thanks to Ron Mancuso for the hospitality. It was great catching up with Slash on the eve of all the Guns mania. We talked about a bunch of stuff, most of which is off the record. But he’s psyched to start this next chapter in GnR history for sure. It certainly won’t be dull! Also ran into Duff and we talked for a bit. Not trying to be cryptic or tease but these guys are friends and when there is news they want to share publicly they will and it will come from them. I can’t and won’t ever say anything that isn’t for public consumption otherwise every relationship I have will be burned. But it was really good catching up and I’m happy for all the guys that this finally kicks off tonight. You will learn something interesting about this weekends shows any minute actually…

Also great seeing Myles Kennedy, Brent Fitz, Todd Kerns and Frank Sidoris of The Conspirators last night. They all have some cool new things in the works while Slash is back with Guns.

If going to GnR this weekend in Vegas doors are at 8, Alice In Chains on around 9, GnR scheduled for around 11. So it will be a late one likely! I am going tonight for sure. I’ll Periscope some for sure if I get signal. Not sure about tomorrow as there are several other shows in town I may also hit. Remember my meet & greet is tomorrow (Saturday) in the Franklin bar in the lobby of Delano hotel (which is part of Mandalay Bay). I’ll be there 4-6P selling and signing my books, having some drinks, playing rock and saying hi. It is free to get in. Hope to see everyone tomorrow here in Vegas!

AEROSMITH FRONTMAN STEVEN TYLER SAID THE BAND “WILL PROBABLY” DO A FAREWELL TOUR NEXT YEAR

Andy Greene of Rolling Stone reports:

Aerosmith are on a brief hiatus now as Steven Tyler gears up to promote his upcoming country album, but when they reappear next year, it might be to say goodbye. “I’m doing 30 [solo] shows from May until August,” Tyler tells Rolling Stone. “And then in 2017 we go out with Aerosmith. We’re probably doing a farewell tour. Look, there’s two bands that still have the original members, us and the Stones. I’m grateful for that. Whether we do a farewell tour or go into the studio and do another record, I’m just excited about it.”

The comments echo what Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford said on Eddie Trunk’s podcast in December. “We are actually talking about that — about actually putting together a sort of wind-down tour which we would call the Farewell Tour,” he said. “I guess it’s just because of our age. You know, something’s gonna happen. It’s just inevitable that somebody’s not gonna be able to do it anymore. So it would be very nice to take a nice long bow and say thank you and … put it to bed kind of gracefully.”

Read more at Rolling Stone.

In recent news, Steven Tyler announced that he will be playing a benefit show at New York’s Lincoln Center on May 2nd. Read all about this special performance, here.
