ACE FREHLEY CANCELS TOUR DATES DUE TO ONGOING MEDICAL ISSUES

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley, 74, has canceled the remaining dates of his 2025 tour because of “ongoing medical issues” following a recent fall that left him hospitalized.

“Due to some ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates,” the musician announced on an Instagram post on October 6th.

Frehley had several shows planned for October and November to support his most recent solo album, 10,000 Volts, which was released in February 2024. The record marked his first release of original material since Spaceman back in 2018.

Fans of Frehley and KISS, meanwhile, rushed to the comments section of his message to wish the “musician well amid his ongoing health issues.

Frehley is expected to attend The Kennedy Center Honors, on December 7th at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, where KISS will be acknowledged for their contribution to the Arts.

  1. It’d be nice if Ace’s camp would release more details about this “fall.” Rumors are just that, rumors. However, a couple days before this information went public, various online sources stated that Ace had a stroke. Did the stroke, if he did indeed have one, lead to this “fall” which somehow has forced him to cancel the rest of his tour? Did he break an arm, hand, fingers which would prohibit him from playing? I hope the guy is ok but this vagueness is suggesting, to me anyways, that something serious is going on here. I hope that’s not the case. I thought Ace and his band were playing good together as this tour progressed especially considering Acebus in his 70’s. Get well soon Ace.

  2. The day the first word was released that he took a fall, someone posted on Reddit that his friend worked in the hospital Ace was in, and said he had a stroke. I hope not.

    1. My mother had a stroke in 2022, it depends what type it is.

Transient ischemic attacks, or TIAs, known as “mini-strokes,” can usually be a warning sign, for something larger to come. My grandma had quite a few of those, and it really did not affect her daily life.

However, my mother had a brain bleed, and that was major. For someone, who was always on the go, exercised, and walked all the time, it has altered her existence.

Hopefully, whatever it was, it won’t impede his quality of life and he will fully rebound.
